My dads speechless reaction when he saw me for the first time, and gave me away will stay with me for as long as i live. A 'look' can speak a thousand words.... I remember how i was just FILLED with joy and such excitement when i saw my husband waiting down the isle for me. If it wasn't for my heals, i probably would have skipped down the isle. Oh, and the 'I DO KISS' (sigh) ..... just like the movies, swept away i was.
Becoming a 'Wilke' will be a life long highlight and memorable moment. What an honor!
We are both adventures so we went skiing in Tiffindell Ski Resort. Followed by a lovely retreat at Gooderson Drakensberg Gardens Golf & Spa Resort.
The dress.... followed by a heavenly sigh..... Elizabeth Stockenstrom .... sigh.... there is no words to describe this woman and her ability to transform a unicorn into a desert rose. One of my saddest moments ever, was to return my wedding dress. She gave new meaning to the word 'breathtaking' in my world.
Iza Cloete with her calm and professional manner, was responsible for transforming my face into one that made my husband 'wobble' when he saw me walk down the isle. She is just such an amazing human being.
The gorgeous Jenni Smit from Scar, was responsible for my beautiful 'free spirited' hair. This girl is so amazing, it took her all of 15 minutes and the transformation was complete. She truly has a gift to make your hair suite you!
Skin Tonic by Joanne was responsible for my beautiful nails. She is beautiful inside out and projects her beauty in her work.
Alida-Mari Boshoff completed the finishing touches with her beautifully hand made garter.

At this awe-inspiring venue in the cradle of Franschhoek at the beautiful De Hollandsche Molen Holiday Resort is where my 'happily every after' became my reality. The amazing Tulip functions event planning team, led by Nina was probably mainly the reason why I was such a calm and relaxed bride. The food was out of this world. The honeymoon suite was made up from something out of a fairytale. Absolutely everything went smooth as satin. And the fairylights...... this is where dreams come true.
