Our highlight on our special day was definitely all the love and positive messages we received from all our guests. The dance floor had so much life throughout the entire evening.
Yes, we went to Knysna and Jeffreys Bay. We stayed in The Heads, Knysna, and went on the John Benn for a sunset dinner and cruise. In J-Bay we stayed in The Beach House luxury suite. We had such a lovely time and were spoilt everywhere we went.
My overall look was a beach style.
One of my bridesmaids, Cecilia, did my hair. Beautiful beach waves with a plait.
Monique, a very good friend of mine, did a stunning job with my natural-look makeup.
I bought my dress from Smoorverlief in Somerset West, it's a Cindy Bam design. I'm still inlove with my dress!
Because it was a beach wedding, we decided to go barefoot and feel the sand between our toes.
I got my jewellery and accessories from Lovisa, all in a Rose Gold colour.

We got married in Langebaan, West Coast. A beautiful venue on the beach, Boesmanland Plaaskombuis.
Most of the guests stayed in Club Mykonos, it's walking distance to the venue. We received our honeymoon suite as a gift at Crystal Lagoon Lodge.
Our decor style was bohemian rustic and colour scheme was silver, gold, jade and green with wooden (brown/beige) features.
We made most of the decor items. Dreamcatchers, lanterns out of photo frames, table numbers frames (mosaic & wood) and water bottles on the table to fit in with the decor.
We rented the candles and about 40 lanterns/candle holders. And bought the fairy-light curtains and sheer backdrops.
Me-Jaune stepped in to do our flowers, it was magical! Our main flower was White Dendrobiums and greenery such as Philodendron, Delicious Monsters, Ruscus and Sof Palms.
The colour scheme for the groom and groomsmen was white, beige and brown.
We bought handmade leather bow-ties at a local guy in Cape Town.
Their collar shits with custom brown buttons were bought at Woolworths. The groomsman wore brown Chino pants from H&M, and my husband beige Chinos from Woolworths.
Their colour scheme was white, silver and jade.
My lovely mother made their maxi skirts. We bought their jewellery from Lovisa, colour silver with white feathers.
They wore white blouses tucked in, each a different style to make it unique to them.
My grandfather did a short ceremony for us, then Marietjie Venter from Anjali took over to do the formalities.
We are very fortunate to have talented friends.
Will Venter from Kalon Films Photography captured our special day.
We LOVE our photos, go see for yourself!
No, we planned and did everything ourselves with a lot of help from friends and family.
Boesmanland Plaaskombuis have the best seafood/farmhouse potjies!
The harvest table was made by Two Moms Cooking and Anita.
My mother-in-law made our wedding cake.
My brother, Gust, did all our designes. From Save the Date to Thank you cards.
We printed everything at home.
We practiced dancing in our kitchen at night. Our first dance was Harvest Moon from Neil Young. We rented sound from one of our friends, Emile, and put together one amazing playlist!
