Mauritius
I wanted a rustic, yet simple look.
My nails were done by Luminous Beauty.
My hair and makeup was done by Lindy van Schalkwyk - Laatson Skoonheid.
My wedding dress was bought at Michelangela Bridal Boutique.
My shoes are from Aldo.
Lingerie is from Bras N Things.
My watch is my 'something old'. It's a Macasite watch that belonged to my mother.
My bracelet and earrings are real pearls that my aunt bought for me.
We got married in the Koue Bokkeveld near Ceres. The venue's name is Kaleo and it is a piece of heaven on earth. Some of the guests stayed on the farm in the cottages and camped.
We were very blessed with Alet van Heerden, manager of Kaleo, who did all our flowers and decor.
Since the venue was already very rustic, we only decided to add some candles, fairy lights, and red and white flowers (Madame Rose Burgandy, Burgundy Dahlia Balls, Olive branches, White O'Hara Roses).
The groom and groomsmen were wearing blue three-piece suits from Carducci, white shirts and red ties.
The bridesmaids got burgundy infinity dresses from Infinity Dress Boutique in Table View.
Our photographer was the wonderful Anél Nortier from Anél Nortier Photography and her helping hand Lumé. They were so wonderful and made us feel very much at ease!
We had the best food ever! Oppie Berg Spyseniers made the best roast, baked potatoes, pumpkin puffs, chicken cordon bleu, roasted veggies and flavoured rice. There also were a variety of salads.
Our desert was home-baked cheesecakes, some made by family and friends, and others bought from Die Veldskoen Padstal outside De Doorns.
Our wedding cake was made by our very good friend Truida Grové. It was a chocolate Bar-One cake with strawberries, Bar-Ones, and Fererro Rocher chocolates.
