Our wedding day was everything and more than we could have ever dreamed of and all the detail made it perfect. We got married in the lush woods at Galagos Country Estate in Pretoria, creating the magical fairy tale woods wedding I have always wanted.
All our loved ones where present and we could tie ourselves to one another with the happiest loving atmosphere. Our photographers, Arline photo and video, captured each intimate moment perfectly using the natural sunlight seeping through the trees.
I felt like a princess and I could not believe how blessed I was to be able to marry my best friend. The most special moment was the moment we shared alone before the reception, using it to reflect on how absolutely perfect the day was and how blessed we felt, engraving each memory in our hearts.
Another treasured memory is that our wedding day is shared with my one grandmother's birthday as well as my other grandmother's passing and even though it is sad, it was God's way of making her part of our special day, as she would not have been able to attend.
Something I loved about our wedding day was the cake. We had a cake made from different cheeses which I bought myself and a relative assembled according to a picture I gave her. This was a great hit with our guests and I would not have done it any other way.
Our wedding day was the most amazing day of our lives and the memories will be held in our hearts forever.
My husband surprised me by taking me on the loveliest honeymoon to Zanzibar, Tanzania. We stayed at Reef & Beach Resort and we enjoyed each second. We went snorkeling at Mnemba Island, visited a sand bank where we were served amazing seafood and we visited the local town, learning about the culture in Zanzibar.
Our honeymoon was spectacular and gave us time to bask in the glory of finally being married to each other after all the wedding planning.
The look I went for with my hair was a more care free look and I wanted to add some greenery to it, giving it a boho feel. Chantelle does styling did my hair and make up as well as the bridesmaids and my mother and mother-in-law. I was extremely happy with the way everybody looked. My bridesmaids wore forever new dresses which they all looked incredible in.
My dress was a Blue by Enzoani dress (Kymmy) which we bough at Olivelli in Northcliff. I felt like a princess.
My shoes were bought at YDE and my CiCi collection earrings were bought at Park Avenue Jewelers.
My husband had my ring made which is extremely special.
We got married at the beautiful Galagos Country Estate in Donkerhoek, Pretoria. There was ample accommodation available on the venue for our guests which helped everybody loosen up and have a good time. There were also a lot of guest houses in the surrounding area.
