The best part of my day was just enjoying it all with my husband - pure bliss and happiness and just on a natural high non stop from beginning to end. Nothing could bring you down, not the rain or mishaps! Even when we got to bed at 3am, I was still so excited and awake!
The highlight was definitely my husbands speech. It was the most genuine pure hearted speech. He poured his heart out to me, his bride, in front of all our friends and family and that was really a big deal for him to do - he is'nt usually the most open emotional guy around in general.
Another highlight was just having ALL our best people, friends and family, from all over the world to celebrate with us!
Our honeymoon is in Bulule Nature Reserve at Ezulwini - Billys Lodge.
Our favourite place is the bush, in nature, watching the wilderness. We try go as often as possible.
Cant wait to spend some time together in the peace and quiet.
The Dress: Robyn Roberts through Calegra Bridal House in Pretoria
To fit the romantic rose garden theme, I had a chic glam raw silk bottom with a slight train. The top of my dress was lace with a low back and neckline, but not too low.
It was the perfect balance between subtle, with a pop of glam.
Hair & Make Up: By the one & only: Karin Chan
My hair was a 'messy' upstyle to show off my low back dress line. I never wear my hair like that so was great to look different for a special occasion.
Make Up: Subtle with hints of nudes and silvers on my eyes - to make me pop and look like a bride!
My make lasted throughout the whole day and night! Was fabulous!
Shoes: Elli-Nicole Wedding Shoes
The perfect balance of height and comfort.
I also chose block heels because it was a garden wedding and block heels are a lot more comfortable.
With little floral rose bows on them - to tie into the rose garden theme!
Jewellery:
Something Borrowed: My late Bobba's earings - pearl drops with diamantes in a leafy shape
Something New: Rose Gold swarovski pearl bracelet - which was a birthday present from my Husband from November
Something Blue: My garter from my special bridesmaids!

We got married at The Rose Pavilion in Plettenberg Bay
Guests stayed spread out through Plett
The bride and groom stayed at The Sky Villa that night
For the last year I have been going to Boxfit classes in Johannesburg Glenhazel.
I also run on weekends
I treated myself to massages and manicures at the best Spa in Plettenberg Bay - The Garden Spa
The ladies there are just incredible and my nails lasted weeks!! They created a special customised colour for me even.
Flowers:
Pippas Flowers - Pippa is an elusive flower genius!
We wanted to use local indigenous Fynbos - whatever what was in season.
Pippas put together beautiful Protea bouquets for the bridal party.
Our Chuppah - had sweeps of of greenery with pops of purple fynbos and greenery
As teh venue was already in a Rose Garden we didnt have to over do the flowers.
Furniture:
The Rose Garden had a beautiful choice of furniture. We kept it all natural and earthy. Tiffany wooden chairs, benches, persian carpets for under the Chuppah and the isle.
Lighting for the Reception:

Groomsmen:
We wanted to keep in the theme of floral and fynbos so we found Claire in Cape Town who has this gorgeos fabric with Fynbos pattern. She made the grooms bowties - all 10 of them. The Groom wore the same fabric as a Tie.
At a Jewish wedding - for the all male guests we had customised Kippot made - a mix of teh fynbos pattern fabric, some pinks and some blacks.
Bow Ties & Braces
Daniel bought his suite from Khaliques in Sandton - a Dark Charcoal Suite colour.

Bridesmaids:
The 10 bridesmaids were like waves of pinks walking through.
They all found their own dress, in their own styles - it just had to be a shade of pink.
It worked out so well. Two bridesmaids were in floral pink dresses, there were some dark pinks and light pinks and it all looked beautiful.
Rabbi Ryan Goldstein
Ruan did an outstanding job capturing our special day. Every moment was captured and he told our story so beautifully through his photos. He was so dedicated the whole day and really worked hard but made it look so easy too! He was a pleasure to work with.
Andre & Monique also created a beautiful video of our ceremony! We cant wait to watch it with our friends and family for years to come. The greatest memories and we got it on video!

The owner of the wedding venue - The Rose Pavilion - was also our wedding coordinator for the day.
Rae Gilbert. I have to commend her for putting up with our big loud families and friends and helping us getting through the show!
Dee's Catering made our foodie wishes and dreams come true!
It was a little trickier with a Jewish wedding - we had to make sure the food was of "kosher style". Meaning that we coudlnt mix dairy and meat etc... But Dee had creative and delishes dishes for our army of hungry Jewish guests!
No one went hungry without doubt! From starter sushi bar, to amazing plated roasted racks of lamb to warm our bellies during the nights rain, and mouth watering milk tart shots to get the party going!
We also had real kosher food option all the way from Spar Sea Point Cape Town! He did a fabulous job of transporting and and dishing our food for our kosher friends and family - the food was outstanding!
We had the best Jewish Wedding Singer & Band - Johnny Birin!
Along with his band - Phil on the Sax, Tiger on Guitar, Monique - vocals, Johnny on Keyboard & vocals.
He flew all the way from Johannesburg for us! He really made our night spectacular.
He created a Hebrew symphony for us with the Elton John tunes of "Your Song" which was really something Unique and special for Dan and I.
He really brought the "gees" and the spirit of all our guests on the dance floor - the whole night! When they had to turn off the music - It felt like it was only 10PM - little did I know it was way past 12!
Dan and I did do a wedding dance top open the dance floor and get the party started. We did the lessons with Roxanne Heller. A dancing teacher at Wonderers Club in Illovo.
She was amazing - she made it such a fun experience for us. It was something that we enjoyed doing as a couple, like a fun activity.
