Some highlights include:
My husband wrote a lot of our wedding ceremony himself which made it a very personal, special ceremony.
Instead of cutting the cake in the usual fashion, we had a "sword-bear" - one of the Groomsmen made himself bear ears and carried an old sword (borrowed from my husbands Scout precinct) in on a pillow for us to cut the cake with.
The theme of our wedding was the Hexagon shape - a shape that symbolises many things we value in our relationship including love, harmony, balance, honesty, trust, communication, unity, co-operation and reliability. My husband built the hexagonal wooden frame, he also made our ring box (from very sentimental wooden pieces left from his late grandfather), as well as our envelope box. We also integrated the hexagon into both our wedding rings.
We went on a beautiful trip to Mauritius

My husband built a big Hexagonal wooden frame which we got married in front of, and we integrated hexagons into all our decor (which was mainly made up of burgundy, blue and white flowers).
