We had a wonderful day in Cape Town with 55 of our nearest and dearest from each corner of the globe. Seeing the look on my father's face as he walked me down the aisle and seeing my fiancee waiting for me were moments that will live with me forever. After 18 months of planning, the day was magical and worth all the tears and stress that ( as most of you know) wedding planning causes. Watching my husband do a word-for-word perfect rendition of Take Thats 'relight my fire' ( including the female solo) in front of everybody is perhaps a memory I would rather forget though!
The nervous excitement getting ready with my Bridesmaids and champagne was unlike anything I've felt before and it reached its crescendo with our first dance together, which we had been practicing for months. Needless to say, it wasn't quite faultless, but as we danced together our world became complete and we celebrated with everybody long into the Cape Town night!
We had a very relaxing and enjoyable honeymoon on the Island of Phuket. We managed to combine lazy pool days, local culture, dancing, and even some food poisoning too.
My wedding look was classic and modern.
Make-up was neutrals and browns, with more emphasis on my eyes. Service provider - 'gorgeous2go' .
Hair was a classic upstyle and the service provider was 'Hello Darling'.
My wedding dress was very unique, it was layers of lace with an open back and hand-stitched feathers all around the bottom of the dress. The style can be described as a mixture of mermaid and trumpet. Dress designer - Cindy Bam
Shoes were a glitter, silver-grey, 6-inch heel from Jimmy Choo.I wore long/dangling style diamond earrings and a diamond bracelet that my parents gave me on my 21st birthday.

We had a church ceremony at the Three Anchor Bay Church in Cape Town, followed by our reception at the 'One and Only' Cape Town waterfront ( Ed Sheeran was in the hotel but sadly did not give us an exclusive!). Many of our guests were from overseas, they stayed in various hotels around the waterfront.
In the months running up to the wedding, I ensured that I was aware of my diet and exercised as regularly as possible. However, I had a bit of a set-back as I had to have a knee operation 6 months before the wedding.
I also invested in regular facials and ensured my skincare routine was followed daily.
My decor was on par with my personal overall look for the day. It resembled a classic, yet modern look and feel. I had black ostrich feathers arranged on chandeliers for all the guest's tables and white feathers on chandeliers for the bridal table, which was only my husband and me.
There were 8 round tables, with black sequenced table cloths, and black tiffany chairs. The flowers were placed on the table at the base of the chandelier and were 3 posies of white roses on each table.
The draping was from ceiling to floor with fairy lights as a backdrop.
Dance floor- white with led lights integrated.
All other furniture outside was white in color i.e couches, ottomans and bar stools for the pre-dinner drinks.
Flowers - Creative Nook
Dance floor- Next dimension
Furniture - Makiti Hire
Ostrich Feathers - Klein Karoo
My Husband wore a tailored morning suit from Gives and Hawkes, Saville row London. The color was charcoal grey, with a dove grey waistcoat. He wore a black silk tie to stand out and black shoes. Personal 'groom' socks and personally engraved cufflinks completed his outfit.
The Grooms party wore similar morning suits except with silver silk ties. They also wore personalized cufflinks, with their name, role, and date of our wedding.
My bridesmaids wore black dresses. It was a V neck style, with cut off sleeves that fell just below the knee. All 4 of the bridesmaids wore the same dresses.
The dress style was a combination of personal taste and styles we've all liked. These dresses were all personally tailored.
Their hair was curled and taken to the side and they all wore black feather ,fascinators.
Make-up and Hair was the same service providers used for me.
