I get emotional just thinking about it all! It was the most perfect day :) I remember walking down the aisle and just taking it all in - I couldn't believe I was finally getting married!! Everything was perfect, from the weather, to the decor, to the food - it was just spectacular. We got married at the most beautiful wine farm in Robertson - DuVon. Our ceremony was outside in their gorgeous gardens overlooking the vineyards. Coming down the aisle and seeing my gorgeous husband to be in tears, was just the most special moment. Coming into our reception venue was so much fun! We have the most awesome friends and family and the whole atmosphere was just so chilled, relaxed and filled with love. Another major highlight was our first dance. I'm a dance instructor so I dance for a living, but the hubby isn't always overly keen. But he learnt the steps and did SO well :) We danced till the early hours of the morning - it's a day we'll never forget.
Yes we did! We went to Mauritius - a lifelong dream of mine to go there. We stayed at the Veranda Paul et Virginie (adults only resort). It was everything and more, we had the best time. It's the most beautiful place, yummy food, the water is so warm & the snorkelling is amazing! We also swam with wild dolphins - another tick on the bucket list. Perfect honeymoon destination!!

DuVon Wine and Wedding estate in Robertson. The most beautiful wine farm, ample photo spots, accommodation for 12 people on the farm. Great service, amazing food! Guests stayed in surrounding guest houses, etc.
We wanted a very classic, elegant wedding, with not too much clutter on the tables. So we opted for long white candelabras and mostly glass vases and candle holders. Very simple flower elements were added and lots of candles and floating candles.
All decor & candles were hired from Function 4U in Kuilsrivier. Flowers were supplied by Annie's Flowers in Somerset West. Guest cookies were made by Harck & Heart in Stellenbosch.
My husband's suit was bought at Woolworths, as well as his shoes and belt. He wore a blue suit, brown shoes and a light pink shirt. The groomsmen wore white shirts, blue pants and brown shoes - also all bought at Woolworths.
We wanted to try and find dresses that they could wear again. We found the most beautiful two tone dresses at Smoorverlief Bridal in Somerset West. An off the shoulder long dress - very flattering on both the girls! They both wore silver shoes and their hair and make-up was also done by Adri Hugo.

A great friend of ours offered for us to use their Mercedes Benz as my wedding car. It was such a special ride and a wonderful gesture from our friends.
The food was prepared by the chef at the venue, Ronel. It was super delicious and a great variety.
Our cake was made by Louretta's Cakes in Robertson. It looked and tasted amazing!!
My bridesmaid Beatrice helped us with all the design work for our special day and we had everything printed at Campus Solutions in Somerset west.
I run a dance studio in Somerset West, so needless to say, dancing and music was important! Hubby was brought in for lessons with our couples instructor :) He did so well and our wedding dance was beautiful. Our DJ was also a friend of ours, Wim van Wyk. The music was great and we danced till very early into the next morning.
