It started in 1997 in Grade 1 :) We started pre primary school together, moved onto primary from Grade 4 -7 and then attended the same High School Grade 8 to Matric. We even studied at the same college doing similar fields. We now work a building away from one another. He has been my best friend and crush since i can remember. The most amazing smile. He has the kindest, caring most loving heart.
So the most breath taking thing happened on the 11 November 2017... It was my Birthday week with all sorts of surprises and celebrations going on not knowing that the biggest surprise would end off the weekend on such a beautiful note.
The day started off with massages with my best friend and her partner and my hubby to be.
We then darted off home to freshen up and get all glammed up for an intimate dinner at the PortsWood Hotel in Cape Town. It was a real day of unwinding and relaxation with the people I love dearly, after a week of Birthday events. After our starters and main course we had a bit of a breather while desert was being prepared.
We got up to take a few birthday weekend pictures and all the action was being set up behind me. I turned around and there he was on his knee asking me to marry him, my insides turned to jelly.
We have known each other for what already feels like a lifetime we cannot wait for forever.
My dad walking me down the Isle
The priest called my husband Jason - his name is Jayden
The mind blowing vocals of the choir that sang throughout our ceremony
The Pod of Dolphins showing off while we had our bridal party shoot close to the beach - below Black Marlin
The tears and laughter shared throughout the day
We decided to do a local trip seeing that we had a home to furnish and lots to set up and unpack after our Wedding.
Straight after the reception we stayed over at African Violet in Noordhoek for two nights and then headed off to Wolfkop Nature Reserve in Citrusdal
The ceremony took place at the most beautiful Catholic church in Lansdowne - Our Lady Help of Christians followed by our reception venue - Black Marlin Restaurant in Simons Town
I was lucky enough to have resigned just 2 months before our wedding. In that time i totally de stressed taking regular naps and being able to sort the last few touches in my own time. I did the odd face mask here and there and wore minimal make up for that period. Water lots of water

Id say our decor was whimsical
We combined a few elements - our decor was mainly surrounding our colour scheme
We had the fairy lights which added such a beautiful touch as the sunset, we had sparkly rose gold sequin runners and arrangements of Burgundy, white and blush pink flowers. Bold Black lanterns with soft white candles and rose gold candles here and there
Sky Ray Events did all our decor and floral arrangements including our bouquets
The all so Handsome Groom wore a slimfit 3 piece burgundy suit, white shirt and black tie and shoes
The groomsmen wore black 3 piece suits, with a white shirt and burgundy tie
My bridesmaids were dressed in a beautiful flowey burgundy dress
Our Photographer was the most talented Craig Corker and Videography done by Imaad Griffiths - Radz Photography
Our bridal party was escorted in white BMW E36s, my husband and I in a white X
Our three course meal was provided by the venue Black Marlin itself, as it is a restaurant. My husband and I opted for the less "traditional" option for our wedding. We wanted our guest to have full tummies and smiles on their faces - Flavour is so important.
Our Cake was made by; Toni's Freshly Baked - her cakes are mind blowing and she's an amazing person too
