We got married at the most beautiful venue, De Uijlenes. The Venue Co-Coordinator, Belinda, was extraordinary. She is extremely helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly.
Our Ceremony was held in the forest in front of the big Oak tree, and the reception at the Old Barn.
All our guests stayed at the Old Barn & Nonnetjies Uil and everyone fell in love with the venue.

This was our very own DIY wedding. From day one I had a clear picture in my mind of what I wanted our wedding to look like. My husband Bea-hann Brummer, was there every step of the way leading up to our big weekend wedding, helping to arrange all the small thing we wanted to make our day special.
On the Friday of our weekend wedding we woke up super early to start set up the venue. With the help of my amazing parent and good friend Marius we where done just before all the guests arrived.
On our big day, Saturday 30 March 2019, the venue coordinator, Belinda van der Merwe, made sure everything was in place and ran smoothly. She is a superwoman!
We where so blessed to use the old family car, a 1959 Mercedes Benz 219, as our wedding car.
This car has been used for most of my husbands family weddings. His mother and father also used this car as their wedding car in 1987.
The Food:
O, how everyone loved the food.
The amazing Harvest Table, stunning dinner, awesome dom pedro's and midnight snacks was all prepared by the venues wonderful chef, Mornay Fourie.
The Cake:
We had the most scrumptious Carrot cake, made by our very good friend, Marius van Rensburg.
The Wine:
My beautiful mother-in-law bought us wine and campaign for Nuy.
All our beautiful lazer-cutting was done by Red Hare Design. I gave Chloe my ideas and she immediately jumped to work. I had a few last minute names, and she didn't even hesitate to help.
Music definitely plays a big roll at every wedding and we LOVE to dance.
The DJ for our big day was Gert van Niekerk.
He knows exactly how to read a crowd and kept everyone moving!
We where dancing till 2am the sunday morning with our last song being "Shotgun" by George Ezra.
After the hall's doors closed we continued the party outside by the bonfire, with a small JBL speaker we kept the party going till just before sunrise.
We where so blessed to have DJ Gert and his lovely wife at our wedding.
