The most memorable part of my special day was when all my guests sprung to the dance floor to do the YMCA, we had such a blast and really danced the night away
We were lucky enough to get a great deal on the Maldives!
So I stumbled apon the venue first, a rustic farm/ forest vibe wedding venue which inspired my look. I went for forest princess, with a beautiful fitted pearl caped gown that was designed for the Durban July by the talented Hanrie Louis who was inspired by Midsummer nights fairy Queen. I paired this amazing look with some simple pumps as I am so tall that heels weren't an option. Then my hair completed the look with a flower filled braid.
We got married at De Uiljenes in Franskraal where half my guests stayed at the venue with me.
With two equally unique and different wedding venues on the farm to choose from and surrounded by glorious countryside, you will be blown away.
I already have pretty good skin so I kept to my regular Body shop seaweed range. The week before I made sure to stay extra hydrated. Fitness consisted of badminton, weight lifting and jogging. The diet was calorie controlled and relatively the same as its always been. I didn't do any teeth whitening but tried to keep oral hygiene as a number one priority to make my smile whiter than ever. The day after my bachelorette party we went for a spa day with all my close ladies where I did a clay wrap and full body massage for the stress.
Everything was a pinterest DIY and because my venue didnt pull through on a single thing I asked for help on I ended up doing a lot of things last minute. The colours were blush and slate blue and they added a pastel pop to the browns and greens of nature.
The groom wore a white/beige suit from Markhams with David Jones shirt, shoes and belt. While the groomsmen wore slate blue shorts and shirts from duesouth and woolworths. They each got their own pair of dark brown shoes to match.
They wore beautiful blush dresses from Forever New. Funny story is that the name of the dress was Danielle, and I only noticed once we bought all six. Must have been a sign!.
My Oupa officiated the wedding, it was such a special touch to a beautiful day.
Edo was the photographer on my special day and his artistic view and amazing shots added such glitter on top of the best cake.

I didn't.
My dad drove me in his sportage which was luckily white
The wedding cake was made by a Capetown bakery and the food was done by the venues caterer who we had to use, but their food was amazing.
I made my own website and invites.
We took about 8 dance lessons before the big day and had the most amazing dj service who really made the night great!
