Where can I start, from beginning to end it was all perfect. The moment my father gave me away to my future husband to be, emotions and joy just stirred in me. We decided not to see each other for a week and that moment I stood infront of Ian, I could not wait to become his wife. That definitely was one of my most memorable moments.
We are planning to go on honeymoon a bit later in the year. Reality snug up on us to quickly, but we had an amazing few days away in Hermanus.
I would say my wedding look was more focused on the classic, vintage beauty. I had a one of a kind wedding dress with lots of beautiful detail which suited and describes me perfectly. For my hair a went for a classic messy upstyle that suited with my dark smokey eyelook. I kept my jewelry to a minimal and incorporate blue high heels as my something blue.
Our beautiful wedding was at Simondium County Logde, just between Paarl and Franscchoek in the Western Cape. There was amazing accommodation on the venue itself, where the guests could spend the night.
Tonning up, being healty and looking your utmost best for your special day, I think is a must. We got all our beauty treatments done at Lush Everything Pretty.
Our wedding theme was classic vintage. We decorated the tables in two different styles. Because our venue was so rustic, we wanted to keep the decor to a minimal and emphasize our focus on the nature and all that is pretty in it, like our flowers. We brought in colours through our flowers, which was a wide selection.
The men just looked so handsome in there navy blue trousers, white shirts, leather brown shoes and crossovers.
All the groomsmen hired their suits from Mr Suit hires and Ian got his from Heros suits in CPT
I got my bridesmaids dresses from Foschini, it was exactly what I had in mind for them. It was a long purple grey dress with lots of detail on the top part of the dress. Their accessories was from Lovisa and decided on nude heals.
Our marriage officer was our Pastore from The Bay Christian Church. PS Wessel.
Chantel Vogel, the owner of Chanel Mat and May Photography took our wedding photos and her amazing assistant Marinel Oosthuizen. They are just excellent at what they do, they have a fun, warm and outgoing spirit which make posing extra fun and effortless. It shows in their work.
No, I planned the wedding myself with the help of my mother, mother in law and bridesmaids.
We spent the night of the wedding at the venue and also got ready there on the big day
Simondium Country Lodge prepared our amazing food and dessert. Our cake was made by a friend of my mother in law, which did an amazing job.
We had the help of RedHare Design. All our prints, table nr's etc was laser cut out of wood. They assisted with the designing and manufacturing.
We just had the best DJ's Southern Sounds Cape Town. They knew exactly what was going on the whole time and they entertained the crowd to the tee. They provided all lights and smoke machines.
As for me and Ian, we went for a few dance lessons by John Murry Dance Studio, which helped with the choreography of our first dance on the song James Morrison Won't let you go.
