Our whole day was just perfect! But moments that really stood out was when we read our personally written vows (and I mistakenly tried to kiss him afterwards because they were so sweet :D) to one another as well as our couple shoot, we just had the most fun!
Yes! My husband planned it all by himself and kept it as a surprise for me <3 We went to Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa in Mauritius and it was an absolute dream!
All I wanted for my wedding look is to look like myself so I went for natural makeup and an up-style to show off the back of my dress. My dress was from Milla Nova, shoes were from Charles & Keith, lingerie from Bras n Things. I kept my jewelry simple so only had a dainty hair accessory and teardrop earrings from Vonve Bridal.
Our wedding took place at Hudson's Venue & Restaurant in Stellenbosch. We partied until 1am so most of our guests stayed overnight at Brenaissance Stud & Wine Farm and Baruch Guesthouse in Stellenbosch.
The most important part of my bridal beauty regime was to ensure that my skin was in the best condition it could be so that I wouldn't require as much foundation on the day. So my regime comprised mostly of following a balanced diet, making sure I get my water intake every day, exercising and facials. I was under the expert advise of Hajirah from Life Med Aesthitics in Rosebank.
We went for a romantic look and feel, so our colour were dusty pink with gold and greenery. My favourite part was our ceremony which was set in a beautiful garden accompanied by a live string quartet. We also rented lawn furniture so that our guests would be comfortable during the pre-dinner drinks.
My husband and his groomsmen had their suits made.
We had the bridesmaids dresses made. It was really important to me that their dresses were made to fit their bodies and that they would be able to wear their dresses again as opposed to collecting dust in the cupboard.
Rev. Dr Llewellyn MacMaster was our marriage officer.
Lloyd Lottering Photography captured our stunning day, with the support of Clint Daries. Mustard Seed Films filmed our day and The Party Technician provided a photo booth to keep our guests busy during the pre-dinner drinks.
Our venue came with a planner included so we were well taken care of
We had our wedding stationery designed by Emmerentia from Oh Yay!
Yes we took dance lessons in Kizomba and did our first couple dance to Find You by Melonika. The lessons were so much fun that we are actually continuing with them even after the wedding.
