Well, we actually met on Instagram.
I was searching for a guy with the same name and came across my "now" fiance's profile.
I thought hmmm... after snooping through his entire feed! his a snack! :-).
So i started following him on Instagram and he requested to follow me back 10 mins later and the rest is history :-).
We both living in Cape Town and are from different parts of the Eastern Cape.
We decided to have a weekend where our parents met so everyone spent the weekend at my parents place.
So I was already on a hunt to look for a wedding venue because in my mind if he had to propose I would already know which venue I'd want so it takes that stress away as I need to get married in my hometown anyway.
On the day of the proposal his parents had no idea, I was all excited to meet everyone and off we went to go view the venue.
It is absolutely stunning!
He asked if I'd take a walk with him to check the beautiful sea view out and there he went down on one knee and proposed.
I was so shocked and happy and excited at the same time :-).
I didn't expect it to happen there but proposals are the best surprises.
So we getting married at the venue called Vineta in Port Elizabeth.
Everything just went off so smoothly and most importantly we all just had fun!
That is exactly how we wanted our wedding day to be.
Highlights:
The first look moment with my dad & also walking down the isle towards my husband.
Very short honeymoon to Knysna.
I wanted my dress to describe me - Beautiful, glittery yet simple & elegant.
My hairstyle was in curls - its my go to style, I feel my most beautiful wearing locks.
Makeup was done by my friend, she really did an amazing job.
We got married at a hidden gem in Port Elizabeth called VINETA.
Most beautiful venue surrounding a whole lot of greenery. It was stunning!
