The highlights were that both families accommodated us, me being Christian and my husband being Indian. My mom's face when she saw me in a white wedding dress at reception. She didn't know about the white wedding dress. My brother participating in the ceremony. And the lighting of the candle for my late dad. That the venue where ceremony was breathtaking.
Bali. Still here.
I had two wedding gowns one Indian and one white wedding dress. Traditional Indian jewelery as well as pearl earrings and pearl necklace. My shoes were golden Cort shoes.
Cradle of life in Badplaas. My guests stayed there as well. The venue was nice and the green complimented both cultures.
Myself and groom went on a message 2 days before wedding had my nails done. My hair was done on the day of wedding.
We had stretch tents over the amphitheater, cushions was laid on the steps and in front there were chairs covered in white, the stage had a a gazebo covered with white li en and green leaves. There was a bride that was also decorated. This is where the ceremony was and my reception hall was draped in white and I had geen grass on the floors. My theme for the hall was earthy. My tables had tree barks on with fairy lights and from there was hanging key rings that looked like wooden leaves with messages on as a gift to my guests.
The groom had on a traditional Indian outfit. No groomsmen.
Didn't have bridesmaids.
We had a Indian priest from Durban that did the ceremony.
Catch frame photography. They took the most beautiful photos and also made a video.
I planned my wedding.
There was no wedding transport because we stayed at the wedding venue.
The food was vegetarian, my husband is vegan.
My sister in law was my dj and I prepared all music accordingly. Slide show and my poem everything was coordinated by myself and help of my family.
