Our Wedding Day was truly the best day of our lives in every way!! There was plenty of rain on the day but it certainly didn't dampen the spirits of us or our guests! It was a wedding filled with love and fun and it was so incredible to have all our special friends and family (many of whom travelled from overseas and from all around South Africa) there to share our special day with us. The most memorable moment would of course have to be the moment I said "I Do" to the Man of my Dreams (just after we had resuscitated him with a coke after he nearly fainted before our vows though ;) - that in itself was definitely memorable!!) The speeches were all heartfelt and certainly memorable and we all thoroughly enjoyed dancing the night away to our favourite music on the dance floor after all the formalities were over!
We spent a magical week in the Maldives (this has always been at the top of my bucket list and I was saving it for my honeymoon!). We then returned home to go to Phinda Game Reserve (Forest Lodge and Mountain Lodge) to relax for 3 nights in our favourite place - The African Bush!
I went for a classic look with a beautiful strapless lace mermaid style dress from Bridal Mall Couture. My incredible hairstylist Shivanee (from The Hair Lounge) did my beautiful upstyle and my make up was done by the very talented Alana form Kiss and Make-up. My shoes were from Bride & Co and clutch bag from Colette. My earrings were from Lovisa, Engagement Ring from American Swiss and wedding band from NWJ.
We got married at the gorgeous Orchid House venue at Collisheen Estate. The Chapel is beautiful and the Gardens at the venue are just spectacular! It was the perfect venue for us:)

I went to gym 3 times a week in the months leading up to the wedding. I had teeth whitening done by the dental hygienist at Dr Sparks Dental Practice. My nails were done by Simbiosis Spa in Simbithi and my spray tan was done by Le Belle Vie in Durban North. My eyelash extensions were done by Angela Altern at Lashes by Ang
My colour scheme was Green, White and Silver and we went for simple but elegant decor. The flowers and decor were all done by Penny Trytsman at For The Table. The furniture was mostly supplied by the venue itself and we just hired some ottomans for the garden from Unik Furniture Rentals and we hired lawn games to keep our guests entertained during canapes from Lawn Games KZN.

Claire and Etienne from Wild Olive Photography captured our special moments in the most incredible way!! And Justine from Wedding Frames did our videography - we can't wait to see our Wedding Video:) Both the photographers and videographers had to brave the wind and rain during our creative shoot and they did it with enthusiasm and smiles on their faces and both teams put us both at such ease in front of the cameras. We also had a photobooth during canapes supplied by O Snap Photobooth - the fun photos of our guests were then put into our wedding guestbook which was supplied by the same company and guests could leave us messages alongside their photos.
Gizelle Athman at the Orchid House, Collisheen Estate helped to coordinate our wedding day and we could never have done it without her!! Her suggestions regarding menu and service providers was invaluable and her organisation leading up to, and on the day, ensured that the whole day ran so smoothly that we could just focus on enjoying our special day:)
The chef at Collisheen prepared our delicious menu which was enjoyed by all our guests - meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans alike. Our beautiful cake was made by Candy Bowers at Phat Cake Phactory.
