Magical doesn't even start to describe our wedding day. I have been dreaming about this day for months and it's finally here.
Everything was absolutely perfect and I wouldn't want it any different.
I was blessed to be able to spend time at the wedding venue from Wednesday before the wedding with one of my bridesmaids, just taking it all in and getting ready for our big day. Our parents, groomsmen, and bridesmaids joined us at the venue from Friday, where we all had a braai, the air was filled with excitement and laughter. All the girls went to bed early to make sure we are as ready as we can be for the big day.
The mothers, bridesmaids and I spent the day in the bridal suite getting our hair and make-up done. The bridesmaids made sure I had everything I need and kept me calm and hydrated all through the day, I was definitely spoiled beyond measure.
Having my mom helping me to get into my wedding dress was one of the biggest moments of my day as no one has seen me in my dress before this day and I got to share this special moment with her.
My dad is very close to my heart and still being his little girl, even though I'm all grown up now, I just wanted to do something special for him. I had a first look arranged for my dad after my mom got me all dressed up. The look in his eyes when they removed his blindfold was absolutely priceless, and my dad was speechless.
To have my dad walk me down the aisle towards my husband was such a blessing, this is a moment I just can not even put into words, special is such an understatement. My husband looked so handsome, I just couldn't keep my eyes from him.
The atmosphere, the emotions, the company, family and friends, all of this just made our day.
Having all of our closest friends and family spending the day with us was more than I could ever ask for.
The overall wedding look was timeless, elegant, moody with a pop of colour (the flowers).
Tylah from Makeup with Tylah did my hair and makeup and made sure I looked like a million dollars, this lady is an absolute gem.
My wedding dress is a Stella York dress that I purchased from Timeless Bridal Couture, the moment I fitted this dress I knew for sure that this is MY dress. They were amazing and made sure I felt like a princess with every fitting.
I bought my shoes from Opari's Online Store, and wow they were even prettier in real life, the off white satin and diamante detail on the back was exactly what I was looking for, different in a very good way I'd say.
Jewellery and accessories were all from Lovisa, wow wow and wow again, I literally got everything I dreamed of in one store, from my earrings, headpiece, bridesmaids accessories and jewellery.
We got married at the beautiful Cabbage and Rose Country venue just 3km out of Middelburg on the Stofberg Road. Our bridal party and parents stayed from Friday and most of our guests stayed the night at the Glen Cullen Private Country Estate that is situated right next to the venue and walking distance from everything.
I started a healthy eating plan about 4 months before the wedding and managed to lose a total of 12kg thanks to Stephany Delatour. This angel of a girl made sure I reach my goals and kept me motivated day in and day out.
I had my waxing, nails and pedicure done by Annike from Be Unique and my hair coloured by Monique de Vry from Pasquale Hairstylists.
Spa treatments from Lady Finess situated in Middelburg made sure I was ready for the big day.
Cabbage & Rose Country Venue has so much to offer, with that said the owner and coordinator Michelle is such a creative and talented lady. She also owns Blomster which specializes in Flowers and Decor for weddings.
Our decor and flowers was elegant, timeless and moody with a pop of color (which was our flowers).
