One of our highlights of the evening was during our first dance. The song was about to end, and the best man and man of honor (Yes, my maid of honor was a guy) started slow dancing together to get the dance floor rolling.
We went to the Netherlands. We visited Amsterdam and the streets of Haarlem.
I was going for an alternative princess type look, where my lips were dark, my hair was silver, but my hair was also long and very glamorous. I chose a poofy dress to add to a princess look. I was adamant to be a rock n' roll princess. I even pitched up in a black convertible seated on the on top of the back seat being driven down the avenue of trees towards the small stained glass chapel. My very talented friend, Steph Ive did my gorgeous make-up, Melissa from Hitched and Hairitage hair in Howick did a master piece to my hair, my nails were done and gifted by my wonderful creative friend, Rebecca from Nail Cult, My pedicure was gifted by my friend, Leah who got me a voucher from Chrissie Morgan. A wonderful woman gifted me my wedding dress because she thought that I deserved something magical for my very special day which was bought at Bride & co.

Just 2 months of Keto dieting did the trick. We lost about 4 kg's each before the wedding.
The theme was blush and geometric. My mother had made geometric center pieces for each table as well as the chapel out of chop sticks. Most of the decor was hired from Shells of Decor and EbyA. We had a beautiful wooden backdrop at our table. We had blush table runners from Natural Nostalgia, floral napkins from Labola and the flower arrangements were done by Madge.
The groomsmen wore matching charcoal suits with bow ties, the groom had a light grey suit with a dark grey bow tie. These were from Suit Yourself and Eurosuit. The pageboys were in black pants, white shirt, suspenders and pink bow ties made by Ceri- An aspiring fashion designer.
The brides maids all wore slightly different style dresses of different shades of pink. They had diamante and pearl waist belts. My younger sister wore a long peach dress that was shorter in the front, my girl best friend wore a long light off peach/ pink dress and my elder sister wore a blush ankle length dress. And of course, my boy best friend, however, did not wear a dress. He wore a man suit that matched the groomsmen. The dresses were all gifted or bought from The Hub. The suit was from Suit Yourself.
Paster Jason Currie- From Richards Bay Baptist Church.
The photographer was someone I used to work with, and whose work I admired- Arista from Rissiepit Photography. Her husband Luis did some videography for us, too. We also had a photobooth photographer. The photobooth photographer was an assistant of mine back when I used to do photography, and I always found him reliable. My sweet friend, Adrian.
Just us!
Our friend, Kalvyn, Kindly let us use his black BMW convertible. All of the bridesmaids and mom ( who walked me down the aisle) squished in, while I sat on top of the middle back seat with my feet on the seat- Like a queen. My boy best friend drove us down the avenue of trees to the chapel.
The venue prepared roast beef and chicken with roast potatoes and a medley of vegetables, or a basil pesto pasta. We also had tomato soup for starters and creme brule, mirangues, cheese cake and more for dessert.
We also had a sweet bar, and my mother made the 3 tier cake.
My new in-laws were also amazing and did so much to make the day possible.
The groom, who is a graphic designer. He did an amazing job.
We actually won dance lessons from the La Lucia Bridal fair from Floor Craft. He was an amazing teacher who taught us how to rumba. We did the rumba to the song- Island in the sun by Weezer. David Yapp was our Dj. He did an amazing job, and was such a hit.
