My wedding day was to date the best day of my life. We had a small wedding of 55 people. Our nearest and dearest were there. My mom and brother walked me down the aisle, we planned our wedding in 4,5 months. My dad was diagnosed with Cancer in April and we did our best to have him there, he unfortunately passed away on the 15th of August. We got married on the 12th of October. Having my mom and brother walk me down the aisle was an emotional moment, giving me away to Nick whos eyes were filled with tears. It was bitter sweet. The day was filled with so much love, heart filled speeches and memories to last us both a lifetime. Everything to us both was truly perfect and celebrating our love and life to look forward to before God was all we had ever dreamed of.
No unfortunately we havent been able to as of yet, we paid for the majority of the wedding and finances have not permitted for a honeymoon as yet,
I battled to find the right hair dresser to achieve the soft curl i wanted, in the nic of time i had a hair trial done at Veaudry in Fourways, i was sold. My hair was exactly what i wanted and looked so lovely.
I am an Ambassador for Sew couture and my dress was made by them, it truly was the most beautiful dress I have ever seen, the details were down to a fine art and the ladies at Sew Couture make you feel like a queen.I would highly recommend them to anyone, there professionalism is at the highest level and they made a dress I could only ever dream of come to life, I am forever grateful for that.
I bought my shoes which were clear with rose gold stilletos from YDE. They looked like glass slippers. I loved the look.
My earrings were from Lovisa, they were chandelier type design with rose gold. (I have always loved my bling)
My make up was done by Bjorn from Mac Make up.
I loved his style, he is truly an artist when it comes to your face.

We got married at Chez Charlene in Pretoria. We had been to a few weddings before and when we went to Chez Charlene truth be told we looked no further. It was exactly what we wanted, manicured gardens, attention to detail, fountains, an immaculate boutique venue - all white surrounded by a small moat there was no need to keep looking, we were sold! Might I add the impeccable service we received from Charlene Georgiades, Nadine Smit and the rest of the team made this venue a true 5 star experience!

I didnt have any specific beauty routine i was using. I however drank a lot of water and take collagen daily which i started about 6 months ago to ensure my skin, hair and nails were in tip top shape.
For our wedding we liked the idea of all white with a touch of greenery and rose gold.
Dawie from Caar'i Flora was recommended to us through Chez Charlene. Our flowers were made up of all white and included Roses, Lisianthums, Proteas, Tulips, and Orchids. Dawie really outdid himself, the flowers cascaded over our wedding table too. For my bouquet I carried white Orchids it was all absolutely beautiful.

The Groomsmen all wore black suits with white shirts, our theme was simple the men had black pocket squares with a white rose, Nick wore a black suit from Eurosuit and had a white pocket square with a white orchid to compliment my flower bouquet. The pocket squares were from the clothing store Desch at The Marc Sandton
I was a fan of the blushy tones and instead of having dresses made, the bridesmaids got there dresses from YDE. It was a lot simpler this way and more cost effective. My maid of honor had a dress from a previous wedding she had worn once altered into a whole new look, fortunately the colors matched perfectly. The girls all looked so beautiful

The team at Barclay Studios did all our photography and videography. Our wedding video was graciously given to us as a gift when my dad passed as it was not in our budget. The team was so wonderful and helpful on the day and the video and pictures that followed as you can see were truly breathtaking.

We did not have an external wedding planner, but Charlene from Chez Charlene used our taste along with her own creativity to put together for us the most magical wedding. She helped largely with taking all the stress away with dealing with all suppliers. On the day Nadine Smit from Chez Charlene was absolutely wonderful, she was with us every step of the way on the day and really just made sure everything fell into place as it should have done. Truly not one thing went wrong on the day and if it did, we didn't notice it.

The food was done by the executive chef at Chez Charlene, the food was absolutely amazing! Every single person complimented the food. We had a 3 course plated meal which ended in a fire filled presentation with our creme bruleé dessert. The presentation and the taste was on point.
Our wedding cake was made by the Red Velvetier. We went with a small ferrero roche cake to cut surrounded by vanilla cupcakes with a caramel center for our guests.The cakes icing was airbrushed rose gold to white. It was delicious.

We did not take dance lessons, at least not professional ones, rather watching YouTube videos. Can't say they helped much as we both have two left feet. A good friend of mine Peyton Amber who has an incredible voice sang for us for our first dance singing Make You Feel My Love by Adele. It was such a special moment having our first dance. I then had my father daughter dance with my mom whilst Nick danced with his.
The sound and lighting was provided for by the venue who provided a sound engineer. We had a DJ from Blue Moon Productions who was fantastic, he really interacted well with the crowd and made the night so much fun.
