Our wedding day was the most perfect and memorable day of my life, from the moment I woke up to clear blue skies I knew that it was going to the most beautiful day ever. There was so much love in the air, we had the most romantic traditional Catholic ceremony a lovely afternoon cocktail reception and then an intimate reception dinner with those closest to us. The highlights of my day was having my wonderful 91 year old father walk me down the aisle and then ofcourse the fact that I got to marry the man of my dreams, my one true love, my soulmate and my best friend.
We spent our wedding night at the New Kings Hotel in Sea Point and the next day we left to spend 7 lovely days in the beautiful town of Tulbagh, we then ended off our honeymoon spending a night at the Mount Bijoux guest house in Blouberg.
I was going for a Spanish inspired look, my dress was made by Carisha Badenhorst from Bride-zilla and my hair and make was by Sheree Scheepers and Jamie Pillay from Hair and makeup by Zita. I went for blue shoes for my something blue, my pearl necklace was borrowed from my mom and my bracelet was a gift that I got from a dear friend for my birthday a few years ago.
We got married at Holy Redeemer Catholic church and our formal reception was held at Pigalle Restaurant in Greenpoint.
I drank lots of water daily ate lots of fruit and veg and made sure to tone and moisturize and exfoliate daily. The week before my wedding I went for a full body massage and facial.
I went for simple decor with a romantic spring feel and my color scheme was was hues of pink.
My groom and groomsmen wore Charcoal grey suits with pink ties which were hired from Mr Suit.
My bridesmaids wore rose pink one shoulder dresses which I bought at Forever New.
Our marriage officer was Brutus Arries.
We used Ortyga Media for our photography and videography and they did a brilliant job.
Some of my lovely family members and friends helped coordinate my wedding on the day.
We had a set menu at Pigalle Restaurant and our our cocktail reception was for catered for by a private caterer.
Ortyga media designed and printed our stationary as well.
Our reception took place at the absolutely beautiful Pigalle restaurant, it was so romantic. We had dance lessons and planned to do the Rumba but unfortunately on the night my dressing did not allow for it to happen:) We used Pigalle's live band, they were amazing.
