I was probably the calmest bride on our wedding day as I knew my vendors would be attending everything.
10 minutes before the ceremony when my dad came to collect me, he was asked what he thinks of the bride, he said I looked absolutely beautiful and tried to hold back his tears. Myself and the whole bridal party were in tears!
I shared a few more tears before the ceremony and tried to hold it together when I was walking down the isle with my father. When I saw my husband, I saw the tears just flowing down his face.
So much emotion was shared on our wedding day. You could feel the love in the atmosphere.
It rained on our wedding day when the reception began, I truly believe that it was an extra blessing from above.
Thailand - Phuket, Phi Phi Island & Krabi
Die Akker Country Venue (Pretoria)
We decided to go with a rustic feel.
We had exposed wooden tables with simple cutlery & crockery.
We decided to go out for a shopping day and landed up at YDE.
Each bridesmaid tried on various dresses before deciding on one that was comfortable and suited everyone.
We had the crazy Rev. Nick Prinsloo.
He knew exactly how to put a smile on our faces when the nerves set in.
He was the life of the ceremony and would be remembered by many of our guests.
Earthchildart - Photographer.
Our photographer was amazing, she knew exactly how to make us feel comfortable.
Tanita has gone out of her way since day one and I couldn't be happier with the photos.
First Kiss - Videographer.
Our videographer blended in with the scenery on the day - It was if he was not there - which is great because I tend to get camera shy and awkward in front of the camera.
And when the video came out - it was absolutely beautiful!
With our venue we organised a photobooth for the guests for when we were getting photos taken.
We used those photos as our wedding favour.
The venue prepared our food and it was absolutely tasty!
We also had roostekook as a starter with pre-drinks and a gin bar, which the guests absolutely loved.
Celeste from Sunflower Souffle baked our beautiful wedding cake.
I work with design programs everyday and took a shot at designing our wedding invitations. I had them printed at our nearest Jetline and they helped me with finalising colours to ensure that they were printed exactly how I imagined it.
My husband helped me put them together with flowers, twine, envelopes and wax stamps.
We did not take dance lessons despite our parents wanting us to. We occasionally dance together in our kitchen whilst cooking and decided to go with the flow on our special day.
Our DJ was provided to us by the venue.
