The absolute highlight of my day was walking down the aisle with both my dads and seeing my future husband standing at the end of the aisle.
Having all our friends and family there (from far and near) made our day the most incredible day ever!
There were so many memorable moments of my big day. We enjoyed every second of the day! Everything was perfect and I wouldn’t have changed anything
Damien planned the entire thing - it was a complete surprise.
We went on honeymoon to Knysna.
Damien had planned the most amazing place to stay and incredible activities to do each day.
We stayed in Knysna but drove all around the Garden Route (Plett, Tsitsikama, Brenton on Sea)
Our venue was very rustic so I went for a simple but amazing lace dress.
It was actually 2 dresses, a silk dress underneath with a low back and thin straps.
There was a lace dress that went over that.
My hair was long and wavy with a braid on the side.
My make-up was dramatic but not over the top.
My shoes were shiny rose gold kitten-heels.
My jewelry was mainly rose gold.
I had a chocker necklace, a bracelet that I borrowed from my mom, a pearl bracelet my great gran gave me and small rose gold diamanté earrings.
We got married at Fort Simon in Stellenbosch.
A beautiful rustic, unpretentious wine farm quite far off the road.
It looks like a castle, hence the rustic feel.
Most guests stayed in hotels and B&Bs close to the wine farm. Unfortunately the wine farm doesn’t have accommodation on its premises
I’m not very fussy with anything, so all I did was exercise and eat a balanced diet.
I did go for a natural spray tan before the wedding.
Our decor was very minimalistic and rustic.
The flowers were mainly desert roses, lots of greenery and pale purple roses.
Southern sound did an amazing job and were our DJ’s for the evening.
We had basic lighting and a smoke machine for our 1st dance.
The groom looked shic with a black suit from Fabiani with a white shirt and navy tie.
The groomsmen all wore black suits, also with a white shirt and navy tie.
We bought wooden badges for the groom and groomsmen as well as the fathers.
The Bridesmaids all wore a long navy dress from YDE.
The top of their dresses was navy lace which matched the lace on my dress.
They added in some ‘bling’ by wearing shiny silver shoes.
Our flower girl wore a navy and white knee-high dress with silver shoes.
We got married in our Catholic Church in Rondebosch.
Our priest was Fr. Kevin.
Kilig Photography captured our special day.
Mark Fischer was our videographer for the day.
We had 2 instax cameras which people took photos with, stuck them in our guestbook and wrote next to their picture.

We didnt have a planner for the wedding.
The lady at the venue helped to co-ordinate everything on the day though.
I wanted something simple, so my mom drove myself, my bridesmaids and flower girl in her Voyager.
We had so many fun memories in that car so I thought it would be perfect - and it was!
The lady at the venue prepared all the food. It was very homely food.
Pumpkin fritters, lamb, chicken snitzels, roast veggies etc.
We had 2 cakes:
1. An amazing carrot cake made my Lameez
2. A traditional fruit cake especially made by the Grooms grandmother (family tradition)
I did all the decor, printing and stationery for the wedding.
We took a few dance lessons for our special dance.
Southern sound was our DJ and organized a smoke machine as well.
