It is hard to say what the exact highlight and memorable moments of the day was as the entire day was amazing, but if I think really hard there are a few moments that stands out. The highlight for me was the moment when I walked down the isle and I firstly saw all my family and friends and at the end of the isle was my husband, every nervous feeling or butterfly I had went away the moment we locked eyes. That feeling I had and that I can not explain is surely one of my highlights. Another highlight and memorable moment was our first dance, a perfect way it was to start a perfect wedding. A better song (I'll name the Dogs by Blake Shelton) could not have been chosen, it just sums us up as a couple.
In the beginning we started the with wedding planning we were not sure whether we should do the Honeymoon thing. Looking back now, I have to say I am supper happy we went on our Honeymoon. We decided to travel to Phuket, Thailand. My husband has never overseas and Thailand just happen to be a place we both wanted to see. It surely was a Honeymoon to remember, we saw and did everything we wanted too without any stress or worries.
I always knew from the start before I even started to plan our wedding what I wanted to do with my hair. My hair was curled and extensions was added for length and volume with a braid added, my make-up was done to ensure that it matched my skin tone as well as the color of my eyes. Both my hair and make up was done by the talented Ida Webster. My wedding dress was designed by Rene H Couture. She took all my ideas into consideration to the design the dress of my dreams, and I LOVED it. My wedding shoes was purchased at the last minute due to the fact that I fell in love with the shoe style and color and it just fitted perfectly with everything. I whore very little jewelry and accessories as I did not wanted to over dress my wedding dress. My hair piece was a special gift from an amazing friend all the way from Namibia and my earrings was borrowed from my sister as that was my something old and something borrowed and also she wore them on her wedding day.

After we got engaged the hunt started for the perfect venue. I was on my way to visit my sister when I saw the name Nelson Creek Wine Estate. I drove in and immediately knew this is where I wanted to get married. Both our ceremony and receptions was held at Nelson Creek The Mountain View Hall was the perfect place for the reception and the Old Cellar for the ceremony. There were rooms for guest to rent to stay the night for those who did not wanted to drove home the evening.
All of our decor, flowers, furniture and lightning was arranged by the very talented Liesl from Artica Design. She did everything and knew exactly what I wanted. She made our day so beautiful and special, just like a fairy tale.
That special moment, your wedding day or birthday, kitchen tea, baby shower - we can make it an unforgettable memory!
We kept it very classic and simple for both Groom and Groomsmen. The groom had a black suite that was bought by Edgars and the groomsmen, a white button long shirt with black pants and shoes from their own closets. Just to style them up I bought grey bow ties and gross bands for them.
I decided to give the opportunity to the bridesmaids to search for a dress that they individual would like to wear. I only requested that the dress should be light grey and long. Every dress with a different style and fitted each bridesmaids personality perfectly.I would not change any of it as they all looked stunning in their dress that the got.
Since I was young I always said that when I get married I want my cousin to be the marriage officer, and with a big smile I can say that he was. For a better marriage officer I could not have asked.
Jane Ulla was the photographer we decided to contact to capture our special moments and did she deliver.. She is one of kind and just has the perfect eye for the perfect photo.. We arranged for a photo booth for those crazy, fun moment. We got in contact with Retro Photo Booth and could not be more pleased with the service we received.
