A perfect Spring day firstly getting to marry the man of my dreams and getting to spend it with friends and family. Walking down the isle with my father and the opening dance and even just walking back into the hall! A perfect day all together.
Yes! Dream Honeymoon, we went to Italy and spend the first few days in Rome as we both love Atchitecture and the history of ancient Rome, we then drove up to Florence and went to see the Tower of Pisa. We went to see Andrea Bochelli in Verona and got to ride on a Romantic Gondola trip in Venice from where we went down to watch MotoGP in San Marino. We ended this dream trip in a Castle close to Rome before flying back home.
I wanted to have a fun filled day and my Friend Mariaan Britz who did my hair definitely added to this with non stop Laughter. My make up was done by Talented Chane Pretorius, I wanted to look stunning but natural, our Venue name is even Down to earth! My original plan for shoes was just to wear something flat and comfortable but then realised my dress is to long so got stunning shoes a few days before the wedding only. My lingerie had to be sexy but comfortable, I got it locally from Kaylista in George. My Jewellery I still wear daily and Absolutely Love Love Love it, it s made by the Very Talented Gold Fish Jewellers in George.
Down to Earth Venue in Heroldsbay, at Heroldsbay Resort. Stunning outdoor Ceremony and inside Reception. Some friends and family stayed over at the resort.
Jomarie Janse van Rensburg from JoyFit helped me get into shape for my big day. My skin was looked after by Skinstitute and I got my nails done at Sorbet. My lashes where done by Natasha Dumbleton from Natasha's Beauty Room.
I wanted Proteas, succulents and greenery. My family jumped in and helped with all the decor and flowers, we got the Proteas from a local Farm in Victoria bay and Regyne Protea Farm and they where all so perfect! My mom started planting succulents the moment I got engaged so had so many! I rented some candles and Rose Bowls from Elite Hire in George and got my little Wire "windpompe" from a friend in Oudtshoorn.
My husband, his son and my father was wearing Jeans we got from Due South, Shirts and Jackets and shoes from Woolworths.
I just loved the dresses from Gelique that the three daughters got to wear! It fitted our spring day relaxed theme perfectly.

As me and my husband both love motorcycles I got a classic Motorcycle with Side Car, I got it from a friend Tinus Nel who owns Solo Cars.
The venue did all our catering and it was magnificent! Every one still compliments me on the food when they see me, so thanks to KD and his team from Down to Earth.
Our Cake was done by Nina's in George, a chocolate layer cake and is was heaven and exactly what we wanted.
I did my own wedding stationary as I have a graphic design company called Sky Studio.
We went for one dance lesson but ended up just practicing by ourselves. We got a DJ recommended and used by the venue. He really played great music which added to the awesome day.
