I will never forget the clear blue sky, the cold breeze cutting through my skin and rain drops dripping off the leaves from the flowers. Suddenly, I was reminded of the thought that the previous day it rained and hailed and today..on my special day.. it might rain again. But, when I walked into my suite at our venue place, the friendly faces and smiles welcoming me made all the nerves wash away. My father, my biggest hero looked at me with tears and could only say "you look so beautiful" we laughed and made jokes and in between all the fun we took some beautiful photos. The first time I set eyes on my groom - now husband , was like knowing I'm going to my happy place. Looking at my best friend with a big smile knowing our exciting future waits for us. He looked so handsome, and the proud feeling inside of me knowing that he is all mine and I am so proud to be this wonderful man's wife.

My wedding look was typical Vintage. I had my hair curled by Margerite van Niekerk and I also wore a tiara ,and my makeup was done by Chanteleze Knoetze. My wedding dress I hired from Lady Ann Bridal where Annemarie van Dalen assisted me to find my beautiful vintage dress. My wedding dress was in an Ivory colour. I bought my shoes from Anella Wedding shoes that matched my wedding dress also in an ivory colour. I bought my pearls jewellery from Bride basket.

We got married at Fatherland Estate just outside Brits, North West. It has that farm atmosphere with all the horses wandering all around the place. At Fatherland they have a guesthouse as well that made it possible for most of the guests to stay over.
The groom wore a grey/silver suit with a white button shirt , cuff links , brown shoes and a brown belt.
His groomsmen wore a white button shirt with the same grey/silver pants brown belt and shoes. they hired their clothes at Black Tie in Pretoria
The bridesmaids wore long dusty Rose pink dresses

Well, since I am a teacher and like to try out my own dance moves with the revue, my husband and I worked out our dance ourselves. The sound was done by AMA promotions and they were also our DJ. Our venue was full of fairy lights so we did not really had to add any more lighting. They venue were romantic just the way it was.
