It was a Magical day! One I had dreamed of since I was a little girl. It's crazy how the day flies by and you wish you could go back in time to relive it again. It is definitely a day we will both cherish and never forget the special moments shared with loved ones.
My husband had always said he wanted to plan a surprise honeymoon, and dam did he do a good job of it. The day after the wedding I finalized packing my bag for a holiday that I knew nothing about, assuming it would be a summer holiday with a beach as that is where I had always dreamed about. We landed up going to Dubai for 4 days and then to Maldives. We stayed in a ocean villa in the middle of the sea, I have never experienced something like this. I never thought the Instagram pictures were quite real until we got to experience it ourselves.
From a little girl, I had always dreamed of Zita Contente making my wedding dress. She made my moms wedding dress 29 years ago. I sent through the pictures of what I wanted and she made me my dream wedding dress.

We got married at the Krugersdorp Catholic church and went on to have our reception at Summer Place Venue in Hyde Park. A venue that both my husband and I fell in love with the minute we set eyes on it.
My Husband got his suit made at Florida Tailors and his groomsmen got their suits from Khaliques. They all looked super smart on the day.
I had always loved the coral colour. I had searched high and low for a dress in the correct colour but never found anything I liked. I decided to get the dresses made from a family friend of ours Ivy Langsford. The dresses came out exactly how I wanted and the girls all looked beautiful.

My Husband and I wanted a vintage car for the wedding so we managed to borrow a car from my dads friend. We hired limos from Funky Rides for the bridal party.
Kelly Jayne designed our cake. Being a baking enthusiast myself, I wanted to do something different. We decided to do a 4- tier hanging cake with our initials imprinted on the cake. We also got our cake topper personalized to my husband and I and our careers.
The food at the reception was all prepared by Summer Place and it was delicious.

The party was the best way to end a busy and exciting day. It was a time we could both relax and have fun with all our family and friends.
