Our wedding day was simply amazing. We got married at Bosjes in the Breede Valley while the mountains were still covered in snow. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. I had 9 bridesmaids who walked down the isle in front of me - absolutely spectacular. Heinrich had 8 groomsmen who stood next to him in the chapel, as I walked down the isle holding my dad's arm. I still get goose bumps thinking about it. One of the many highlights of our day was definitely the ceremony - it was light, fun and full of love. On that day, we promised to choose each other everyday and to always stay best friends.

We went to Mauritius for our honeymoon - we stayed at LUX* Grande Gaube. This resort is perfect for honeymooners - we felt like royalty the entire stay.
I wanted our wedding to have a simplistic and elegant look and feel. My wedding dress is from Le Papillon by Modeca, it was a tight fitting dress an we decided to had a sheer skirt with a belt, to customize it. This also made the dress more romantic and I was able to remove the sheer skirt at the reception. My hair and make-up (as well as all the bridesmaids) was done by the very talented Isobel Kriel. She absolutely nailed the brief - I wanted a very natural and relaxed look. I got my shoes from Aldo and they were a dream to walk in.

We got married at Bosjes. They have a wedding package that includes accommodation for 13 people at their guest house. Only the closest family and friends stayed there and it worked out perfectly, because it is situated next to the reception and we were able to check that everything ran smoothly.
I wouldn't say it was my "bridal" beauty regime, but rather a regime I followed even before we got engaged. I love working out and being active - I tried to go to the gym 3-4 times a week. I would also try to cut out unnecessary carbs and eat more protein. I have a custom teeth whitening kit that I purchased from my dentist - it is called Opalescence and I only need to use the kit once every 3 months. Every 6 weeks I treat myself to a skin treatment - I always opt for the Microdermabrasion treatment - It leaves my skin feeling super exfoliated and refreshed. This treatment also makes your pores smaller - which is perfect for close-up photos.
I had a very clear idea of what I wanted for our wedding. It had to be simplistic, elegant and modern. For this reason I decided to go natural and only use monochrome colours (black and white). This colour scheme is also more formal and allows to décor and flowers to shine. I designed and made all the stationary for the wedding, this includes the water bottles, guest favours, place setting and seating plan. Ilsé Louw from Blomstories did an amazing job with the flowers and she certainly listened to all my wishes. The furniture was rented from Baie Goeters. TMN Events did the Bedouin tent with the dance floor and they were also the DJ - simply amazing!
The groom wore a suit that we bought from Carducci - they helped us so much by picking out and tailor-making the perfect suit. We rented the groomsmen suits from Suit Hire. The all had unique boutonnieres with superhero Lego's incorporated into it - boys will be boys.
I bought all my bridesmaid dresses from Forever New - they were my "something blue".
Our photographer was Danelle Stofberg Photography. The videographer was Agape Studio, they also did amazing drone footage. We rented a photo booth from Retro Photo Booth - our guest absolutely loved this! I can definitely recommend all of the above mentioned service providers.

Bosjes prepared all the food for the wedding - the are quite famous for their food. It was amazing! We had our wedding cake and dessert table made by Maggi from Edible Art Cakes - our guests loved it!
I personally designed and printed all our wedding stationery - SALT Designs.
We did not take dance lessons, because we wanted our first dance to be as natural as possible - which is who we are. TMN Events did all the lighting, sound, tent and dance floor.
