The most memorable moments of my wedding day was when I walked down the isle with my dad by my side, that moment when he gave me away to the man of my dreams was the highlight of our day. When we said our vows to each other infront of all our guests it was also very special and we will always remember that moment.
When we walked out to meet all the guests as Mr and Mrs Strydom it was also very special as the guests throw the confetti and blow the bubbles at us.
Entering our reception venue it was so nice to see all the guests and our beautifull decor.
Unfortunately we could not go on honeymoon after the wedding.
My father in law has been admitted in hospital from August and is currently still very ill in hospital.
I picked out my wedding dress from Bridal Boutique Shop in the Kimberley Diamond Pavillion Mall. They do not hire out dresses so I bought my dress. They were very helpfull with the fittings and the adjustments on my dress. My wedding dress was the last dress that I fitted, the moment when I put it on I just knew deep in my heart " this is the one",It made me feel so comfortable and beautiful without feeling self-conscious about any part of my body. It was a white mermaid shape dress with lace all over the dress and a small lint-belt around the middle with fine diamonds and pearls.
I also bought my earrings at the Bridal Shop, it was a pearl earing with silver and little diamonds and then I went for a plain silver necklace with a little diamond.
My shoes was bought at a local shop In Kimberley, a silver wedge with alot of sequins at the front. It was very comfortable and just what I wanted.
I had to shop for the correct length vail so I found the perfect one at Bloemfontein Bridal Co. It was a plain white vail with soft lint at the edges all around.
My hair was done by Madelein Karsten who is a qualified hair dresser in Bloemfontein and also a very good friend of mine.

Well for the past 4 months before the wedding I just started to eat a bit more healthy, to keep my weight stable.
I treated my hair with treatments and kept it healthy.
I waxed at Finish & Touch Kimberley.
I also did the spray tan before the wedding for the first time and I was so impressed. I received alot of compliments. Danelle van Zyl did it for me, she is working from home in Kimberley.
As the colour of our wedding was light peach, we went for the Rustic "theme".
The seremony was in the garden at Horseshoe Inn under the Pepper Tree - it was quit plain but beautifull. Diana Fouche of Burlaps and Blooms also decorated the tree with a peach draping and hanged two hoops covered with hesian and flowers from the tree. It looked stunning. Between the chairs on the red carpet there were mason jars filled with gip flowers.
At the reception each table had a huge flower arrangement with a protea and roses. It was placed in a wooden box to bring out the rustic theme. There were a rustic lantern on each table so we did not make use of any candles.
Each table were decorated with peach and white lace as well as hesian strips. There were hesian holders for knives and forks. My gifts to each female guest was a succulent plant which we also planted ourselves.
Our main table was also decorated in the same manner but had a backside where fairy lights hang and also hoops covered in hesian and flowers.
The grooms outfit was bought at Woolworths Kimberley - it was a blue suit with a white shirt and a peach satin tie with brown lace shoes.
The groomsman's outfit was a blue trouser( the same trouser as the grooms) also bought at Woolworths Kimberley with a white shirt and navy blue suspenders bought at Truworths Kimberley.
The peach ties was made by my awesome mother and it looked beautiful.
The groom and his groomsmen looked very classic and elegant.
The bridesmaids dresses were made by Mrs Corrine van Sittert in Kimberley. It was a light peach off shoulder dress and it was made from Bon Bon material.
I saw the Picture of the dress on Pinterest and it took my attension straight away, it was exactly what I wanted and my bridesmaids loved it.
They bought themselves fine rosegold chokers and rosegold earrings at Lovisa in Kimberley .

Gariep Motors Kimberley was kind enough to sponsor our wedding transport for that day.
It was a Mercedes Benz C180 with sport extras.
The food was prepared by the Horseshoe Inn Motel itself. (my venue)
It was included with the hiring of my venue.
The food was traditional and very nicely prepared. All the wedding guests gave compliments with regards to the catering.
Diana Fouche from Blooms and Burlaps who did my flowers & decor also did my wedding cake. This lady is something else, there is nothing too much for her and she always has a plan with everything, She did all my flowers exactly as I requested and even more. She made sure my day was perfect and beautiful.
We tried the whole DIY thing so we did most of our stuff on our own and everything was still beautiful and exactly the way I wanted it to be.
The reception was at the De Beers Country Club which is also managed by Horseshoe Inn. It is a lovely big venue just outside Kimberley. The whole venue inside was draped with white material and the lighting was absolutely beautiful through the night.
We opened the dance floor on "You Are The Reason" with a slow dance and it was very special for me.
The DJ that provided the music and sound for the evening was DJ Liquid Ice from Kimberley - Greg Bowles. It was done very professionally and we had a great time, all our guests danced the whole night.
After the wedding the received alot of complimants about the wedding. Everyone said it was a very "lekker" wedding.
