The best moment of our wedding day was when the doors of the chapel opened ,and I saw him. The suspense of that moment was building the whole day and the moment it happened it was surreal ,I couldn't see anything or anyone else except for him and even though I said to myself that I was not going to cry , when I saw him wiping the tears away , I couldn't help it! It was the best moment ever!!
We are only going on honeymoon next year as my husband had recently started a new job but we did have a "minimoon". He took me to the coast as a surprise for a few days but unfortunately the weather and our immune systems did not really work with us. We both got sick with flu and while we were there it was cold and raining the whole time so not ideal but we always have fun together so we tried to make the best of it
I wanted an elegant look which still reflected me as a person so I opted for a slim ,trumpet style dress with a corset style on the top and a sleek skirt .My designer was amazing in bringing my ideas to life and added in some details of her own which took the dress to perfection . For hair and make up , I wanted to keep it simple , loose curls with some hair pinned to the side (one of my absolute favorite styles) with a smoky eye just more dramatic than what I usually wear .
My overall look came together just as I had hoped and I didn't want to ever take off my dress
We got married at The Hertford Country Hotel , simply the most amazing venue with the best team!
Yes some of our guests opted to stay at the hotel while others stayed at nearby lodges and inns (Valverde Country hotel , touch of Africa lodge ,etc)

We wanted to use colours that would pop against the all white backdrop of the venue so we used bright and dark shades of pink flowers with alot of greenery for the flowers , with copper accents and candleholders.
Alot of the decor we did ourselves (I wanted to be very hands-on) but we used a professional florist for the bouquets and the table arrangements and we hired most of the copper decor
My husband's suit was custom made and the groomsmen hired their suits
The bridesmaids wore beautiful dark magenta dresses which had lovely sequined patterns at the top with long sleeves and lovely flowy chiffon skirts , they were custom made by a local dress maker

We booked Pink Flower Productions to do both the photos and the video and we are so happy we did , they are amazing people to work with , they made everything so comfortable and fun but also very professional and their work it just stunning
No wedding planner was involved, between the venue's coordinators (who were phenomenal) , myself , my sisters and my bridesmaids we coordinated everything
