Oh my goodness. Honestly the whole wedding. There is nothing that wasn't wonderful. I absolutely loved my flowers. It was so beautiful. It was great to see everyone so happy, laughing, dancing and just enjoying themselves. I also think the Morning After Band contributed to such a fun reception. I also loved the bonfire we had afterwards with everyone that wasn't ready to go home.
We went to Mauritius for our honeymoon and stayed at the Victoria Beachcomber Resort. It was amazing.
I originally wanted a boho feel. What I thought my dress would be to what it ended up being was completely different. I had the most beautiful Imaani shoes for walking down the isle and pink, glitter, out there Aldo sneakers for the evening. I didn't wear any accessories. I also didn't wear a veil. I only had a flower crown. My wedding dress I bought at Olivelli. It's a Maggie Sottero dress. It was soft and elegant and not too complicated. A-Line shape and I tried to keep my makeup as natural as possible. Makeup was done by Zanelda from Proface and hair by Wimari.

I got married at the Oxbow Country Estate. I saw photos on their website. Fell in love. Booked and paid the deposit before I had actually even been to the venue. So happy that turned out great. Guests did stay over. All the rooms were booked out so we had many guests stay over at other B&B's in the area.

I was hoping the day I got engaged I would get into a fitness regime. That never happened. Didn't have any beauty regime leading up to the wedding. I had my nails done at the Sorbet. Does that count?
We didn't have much decor as Oxbow is so beautiful already we didn't need to. I wanted a lot of flowers, it need to be big and colorful. Those were the only specifications we gave our florist, Amanda Moolman. Having a winter wedding does limit your flower choices. She had some flown in and created the most magical picture . The only extra lighting we had was that of the band. Maverick Coffee provided the best coffee station which was perfect for a winter wedding.
The men wore a black suit, black tie and white shirt. They bought their suits from Solomons. We had our ring boy's suit made at Tip Top Tailor in Menlyn Park.
We didn't have a colour theme really but my favorite colour is duck egg so we went with that. Their skirts were duck egg blue and their tops were white with a white lace over it. Gelique made it for us. I saw a picture ones of a similar dress and I knew that is what I wanted one day.
At Gelique we believe that your bridesmaids should look stunning and feel gorgeous on your big day!
Phillip Sharp from the Glen Methodist Church married us.
We didn't have a photobooth. Our photographer was Tyrone Zerf from TKZ Photography. We work together every now and then and decided I wanted him to photograph my wedding. Our wedding video was done by First Kiss.
We didn't have a wedding planner. My mom and I did all the planning. Mariette from Oxbow was our coordinator on the day of the wedding.
My dad's bakkie, haha. Didn't do any special transport.
Oxbow did the catering. They served us the most delicious food. My cake was done by Baker Boys. My candy buffet was done by the Gingerbread House.

I did my own designing for my canvasses, name cards and menus. My menus and canvasses I had printed at Prolab and my name cards Gifty Gifts printed for me. I did electronic save the dates and invites and did that myself too.
My fiance wasn't keen on dance lessons so we didn't take any. The band was told to after literally 30 seconds ask everyone to join in. Our band played sets and did the DJ'ing in between . It was the Morning After Band. I would love to watch them play again. They are absolutely brilliant.
