The biggest highlight of the day was walking down the aisle with my Dad and seeing my Husbands eyes tear up as he saw me.
We did not go on honeymoon yet, we are however going end of September to Magalies Park.
My wedding look was a bit rustic but modern and plain.
Wedding Dress was a Maria from Rebecca Ingrim which I bought from Marbella De Mariee
Shoes for the ceremony I bought from a local boutique, plain white strappy with a little heel. For the reception I wore cowboy boots.
I completely forgot about lingerie, so the morning of the wedding I bought something at Woolworths.
The Jewellery i wore was really special, earrings were the same ones I wore to my Matric Dance and the necklace was my Grandmothers. I didnt really have any other accessories except for a gold piece in my hair.
My hair and make up was done by Michelle Liebenberg from Changes@Style.
The wedding took place in my hometown Kuruman in the Northern Cape (Kalahari) The reception venue was at Boa Fe. The guests that stayed the night booked in various BnB's
I did not have any beauty regime leading up to the wedding. Same old everyday routine.
I did my own decor and flowers with the help of Madrie Nieuwoudt from Boa Fe. The venue was plain and beautiful, I went for a plain, rustic look. The flowers were mainly Proteas and Fynbos with a bit of pennygum. Lighting was subtle with a few candles. We had tiffany chairs which looked beautiful all on their own. For the tables we used white cloths with burlap and lace overlays, we added a few rustic glass cannisters with a few flowers, no tables looked exactly the same.
The groom wore an off white shirt, with a tie and waistcoat along with chinos a belt and CAT boots. All were bought at local shops. We didnt have groomsmen, our boy however was the ring bearer, he wore a chino, white shirt and a hand made leather bowtie from Poppeloppie.
We didnt have any bridesmaids, the flowergirl had a dress we bought from Spree, which we changed completely. My Mom and I did all the changes to make it a unique dress.
We used a good friend Charles Konig a photographer from Timeline Photograpy. We didnt use any photo booth or special effects. Just captured the day as it went.
I did not have a wedding planner. I did all the planning myself with the help from my Mom and Sister in Law.
My brother was in charge of the transport for the day, we had a big blue old Chevrolet. Perfect Fit. AND it was my something blue.
Boa Fe (Madrie Nieuwoudt) prepared the food. Since we did a morning ceremony and reception the rest of the day/night, we had a quick small lunch after the ceremony and for dinner we did roast beef, sweet chilly chicken with french green beans, rice, potatoes and salad.
The wedding cake was made by a dear friend Mariaan Jacobs from Die Geel Kombuis in Kuruman. It was a white vanilla cake with naked frosting and decorated with fresh protea and fynbos.
I designed and printed my own stationery. The save the dates was designed by myself, and sent via email and whatsapp, aswell as the invites. I designed the invites and sent it with whatsapp. We had a one page booklet in church, which I also designed myself and printed at home.
. We didnt take any dance lessons. We took it as it came. Had a local DJ, and our friends played guitar and sang. We also had some Kareoke
