While the whole day was fantastic and beyond my dreams, a few of my favourite moments were:
* Actually saying the vows. You hear them a million times at other weddings but it never quite sinks in about how exciting it is to say them and to make that promise to the person you love and care for so much;
* Standing at the alter surrounded by my family and friends, I felt so much love, blessings and happiness. I just stood there, soaking it all in, memorising it all in my mind;
* Our first dance as Husband and Wife, we danced to Ribbon in the Sky by Stevie Wonder...and now every time we hear that song it is such a wonderful and beautiful reminder of that special moment.

We went to Langebaan for our honeymoon. A wonderful wedding gift from my uncle. It was amazing just to relax and enjoy being married after the stress of the wedding.
My overall look was plain but elegant...wanted a soft but natural look.

We got married at Kloofzicht Lodge and Spa, a hidden gem situated in Muldersdrift, Johannesburg.
A few guests stayed over at Kloofzicht and others stayed at Glenburn Lodge also in Muldersdrift.
I also wanted my decor, flowers, furniture to be simple but elegant..went for the "less is more approach" and everything looked amazing. A romantic and modern feel. I wanted lots of greenery (fresh and simple), combined with some rustic wedding decor. Our wedding colours were sage, cream, peach with a touch of gold.
I wanted a combination of both round and rectangular tables. For the round tables, I had cream tablecloths and sage napkins with a beautiful round wreath (filled with greenery, flowers and tiny pine cones) as my centerpiece and for the rectangular tables, I wanted it bare with floral napkins and a long greenery runner with flowers and pine cones as my centerpiece. Each table had glass and gold base plates, glass candles sets, gold stained votives, gold cutlery and gold table numbers. I added clear phoenix chairs to balance it.
I could not have done this without the help of Ruby Rain Decor & Tableware, they knew exactly what I wanted and created magic!
And to top it off, I had Krispy Kreme as our thank you gifts!

My Bridesmaids wore dresses designed and made by Caileigh Ann Noades Lutge. She is the owner of CAN Couture, an online clothing store and specialists in custom made bridal wear based in East London. The designs are fresh, fun and flattering. The dresses were a dark green and white cross-over off-shoulder long evening dress with mesh overlay.
Our wedding ceremony was conducted by Callie Venter, a pastor of Connexo Church.
The amazing and absolutely beautiful Annie De Beer captured our special moments - Anniedb Fine Art, a Gauteng based Wedding Photographer. She is amazing and the photos speak for itself!
Mona and Hester of Ruby Rain and the staff of Kloofzicht Lodge were amazing in ensuring that the day was as smooth as possible.
The food was prepared by Kloofzicht Lodge. For the pre-reception, we had a Fresh Bread Station which included a selection of breads, jama, pate,cheese. We opted for a buffet menu and guests could choose between 2 starters, 3 mains and 4 desserts.
Our amazing cake was made by Kelly Jayne's Cakes. We wanted a 3 tier naked cake, decorated with a few succulents, more specifically rock roses and went for a Marble and Nutella Amaretto - it was absolutely delicious!
Annie De Beer, our photographer designed our beautiful stationery and we printed it at a print shop. It was stunning and worked out much cheaper than anticipated!
Our reception was perfect. The sound, lightning and music was provided by DJ's Incorporated.
