The morning I woke up and realised I'm donna marry the love of my life. When I stood by his side and was so over joyed I couldn't even feel the cold. When we needed to close our eyes for a brief part in our serimony and I jusy could not keep them closed I had to look at you!! The oh so happy hug and kiss he gave me at the end. When we where showed with flowers by the people we are loved. The laughs we shared at our reception and the way we could just feel the love. Our first dance as husband and wife. When e cut my dress and not the ribon. And most of all I get to call my best friend my husband.
Yes. We went to the Cliff Top Lodge. Amazing view. Away from everything, so many animals. Peaceful.
My dress was one of a kind. With a vintage feel and a lot of bling. My dress was me. Myself an my mother designed my dress and my mother Letty du Toit made my dress from scratch. It turned out so beautiful and exactly how I pictured it. With a 3 piece dress designed to be applicable for the wow factor of the ceremony and photos, and later easy to dance and move around in. My shoes were a steel for about R170 bucks at Jet. My lovely husband gave me my necklace and bracelet the day of the wedding from Georgini. My hair was done by my amazing hair sylest and friend Rentia. Giving my hair a full curly look but still soft with babies breath flowers. I wore our grandmothers pendand in my hair to commemorate her memory. She passed away 2 months before the wedding.
We got married at the lovely Waterfall Cove in Mulderdrift, next to the river and underneath the trees. Where you could hear the waterfall in the background. Most of our guests stayed the night at our venue and stayed festive well into the night around the bond fire.
I just followed a somewhat better skin routine at home with my Nu Skin product. And was one of those brides that lost weight from the stress without exercising. But tried doing yoga as often as I could.
Each of our 6 tables were theamed differently, for example sunken treasure, fairy, steam punk, vintage, study ect. Myself and Jaco loved designing our tables it was so much fun. Our table was a collection of all the themes put together and the chairs followed our table cloths of sea-blugreen and coral. The ceremony was decorated in books and lanterns with tree stumps. And a draping made by my mother in law that filled the dome.
My husband chose a suit that was a cross between westen and indian styled wedding suits. With a navy blue suit and black embellishments. With a white shirt, brown shoes and a tuffled tie. The groomsmen wore navy pullovers, brown shoes and greyish pants which we got from Mr Price, Shoe city.
My Bridesmaids wore dusted rose dressed with a gold belt and shades of rose netting over top. All madr by my mother. With duated rose pumps which I bought from Jet.
Vicky Bergallo was our photographer and she is amazing!! With documentary style photos she really just captutes the moment and the emotions. I'm so glad I found her and would use her again any time.
Adlerentertainment did out videography and DJ. They are amazing and capture the days best parts in the most amazing way. Really on their feet and a great help of the day itself.
My Venu basically cordinated the day for us. Beth is wonderful and a life saver.
The food was prepaired by the venue and was delicious.
The stunning cake was made and decorated by my aunt Sara and Cousin Nadia. It really was amazing.
I designed the stationary and printed it at our local print store. From the invites to the thank you cards.
We took dance lessons at Fred A Stair on Voortrekker and used the song I'm gonna love you like I'm gonna loose you. Our DJ Dylan form Adlerentertainment was amazing and sorted everything.
