The highlight of my wedding day would definitely be walking down the aisle and seeing my best friend with tears in his eyes, my family and friends and watching all our hard work materialize. I kept thanking God for all my blessings, I was humbled by the way everything fell into place and something inside me knew that the adventure was just about to begin... Marrying the love of my youth, the one whom my soul loves... it doesn't get better than that! :-)
it is unfortunate that my husband and I weren't able to go on honeymoon as he is currently working in India and has been gone for the past 2 months, he returns home in December and we have planned to go away in the new year... it has been a rather difficult sacrifice but he is a wonderful man who is working hard to ensure that his family are well taken care of. I support him in everything he does and soon he will be back and my heart will finally beat again, I miss him more than words could ever express.
My wedding look was classic, I am a very elegant person and I pride myself on the way I look
there is a famous quote by Tom Ford "Dressing well is a form of good manners" and it also makes you feel good inside... My Hair was done by my Aunt Mary, who is a stylist. I went for a loose up do, accompanied by a tiara, after all I wanted to feel like a princess, because I was definitely marrying a prince! My make up was done by a friend of mine, who is also a make up artist in her own right, Miss Kumeshni... she done a fantastic job on both myself and the bridal party... nothing dramatic, but she definitely enhanced our natural beauty! My shoes were silver with beautiful detail at the back, beautiful to look at but incredibly painful to wear!!! Accessories were very simple, as I only wore dramatic earrings... Lingerie, lace of course!!! :-)
We got married at Usambara
(16 N14, Muldersdrift, Krugersdorp, 1732)
The Venue was absolutely breath taking, from the Garden to the chapel... it had such a warm romantic feeling to it and the staff were amazing and made us feel like family from our very first meeting
They were more than hands on and I am so grateful that as a first time bride I had all the support from so many different people. it was so refreshing!
I am a very relaxed person, so to be honest there was absolutely no frills when it came to preparation
I am naturally a person who doesn't spend to much time on "Treatments" however I did spend the week before the wedding trying to do as little as possible to ensure I wasn't overwhelmed by everything around me... I think that helped a lot!

Usambara had given us the option to use their events coordinator, however my aunt is a wedding planner and she done the decor, from the center piece to the flower arrangements and it all came together beautifully. she worked closely with the venue and share ideas created the most amazing decor and I was delighted at the end result. I have attached her details for reference

My husband and his boys bought their suits from a boutique at the Plaza, they opted for something classic and definitely looked dashing...They paired the suits with a fresh haircut and black shoes.
I fell in love all over again, I remember looking at my husband and thinking " A suit never looked this good on someone" They really impressed me, considering the fact that my husband had no help from me. I wanted him to wear something that he loved, and I was happy that he had full carte blanche on that.
My bridesmaids were in royal blue, figure fitted dresses with a long mermaid trail, also purchased at a boutique in the Plaza. they oozed confidence and looked stunning, the royal blue complimented my white dress beautifully and next to the groomsmen my girls looked picture perfect!
My marriage officer was my mother in law, what an absolute privilege to experience that!
Dr Eugeny Maraba from Faith Ministry International. A woman of beauty and wisdom and a woman who is on fire for the Lord. The service was profound and God was truly the guest of honor!
All special moments were captured by meek Media! ( Kevin Botes)

there was no transport needed, the entire bridal party got done at the venue in our suites so there was so driving required!
The food was all prepared by Usambara, and it was Delicious and the portions accommodated everyone, including seconds!!!
My cake was made by a wonderful gentleman who works closely with the wedding planner.
All my stationary was designed and made by my Cousin Andrea, she is talented and helped so much in this area.
The reception was magical... No dance classes needed as myself and my husband have the moves like Jagger... lol... I was so blessed to have my cousin DJ, he catered for everyone and it was a melting pot of different music! We enjoyed the evening and stayed until the doors closed and the cleaning staff asked us to please vacate, it was such a joyous occasion and I was so happy to see that my husband and I have achieved our big day, it wasn't easy but together we had it happen. it was overwhelming to see it all come together and again ALL GLORY BE TO GOD!
