It was a beutiful and wet winters evening,making the back drop of the Valley even more beautiful and scenic. Our reception was kept short and sweet to have more fun in the night dancing away. My most memorable moments was just seeing everybody having fun and enjoying them selfs.
Not yet. As we both had to get back to work. We are saving up to go travel next year for our honeymoon.
My look was classic and vintage as it was been held at a castle . All my faith was put into my Maid of honor Shandre. She did the most perfect job and I would never trust anybody else to do it. My dress was maid by Bride Zar, my shoes were bought( woolies) to be comfy as I LOVE dancing so much.
We got married at Het Vlock Casteel in Riebeek Kasteel. It's a beautiful valley and so peaceful. Most of our guest stayed over. We stayed at the Riebeel Valley hotel and Red tin roof. There we some guest who rented a self catering house close by. My uncle also stays in the Valley and everybody was partying by him as we are party people.
I didn't have a "bridal beauty regime" as such but rather tried my best to stay as relaxed and stress free as possible. Massages were my saving grace and helped me immensely to keep calm and collected.
We tried to keep the old vintage feel the castle had by incorporating chandeliers and candalabre's and plenty of candles which made for a romantic and intimate vibe.
They wore navy blue suits rented by Euro suit at canal walk. They had white shirts and black shoes. The had superhero cufflings(the groom Batman ones as he is my batman). They also had superhero socks to match.
The bridesmaids had a soft look to compliment the bold colours of the groomsmen. Dresses were bought at YDE.
Our marriage officer was the Valley ow pastor. Johan.
Our moments were captured by my Cousin Roxanne Schwartz.. Who just started her photography career. She did it as a wedding present to us. She is just amazing
No. Most of the planning was done by myself,Cobus and the maid of honor. The wedding planning mostly took place at work as Myself and Shandre work together. It made things must easier but im sure she got very angry at me sometimes.
I drove with my parents up the Thursday and Cobus joined us later with our car as he was working later. The day of my granfather came to pick us up at the hotel.
The food was prepared by Het Vlock Casteel company. The wedding cake was made by the most amazing baker I know. My cake topper was done by my Cousin Roelien as part of the wedding gift.
Designed by my awesome Sister in law Marieke. The printing she also sorted out for me.
We did not take any dance lessons. We taught ourselfs every night after supper in the living room. We were bad at the begin but we did not to of a bad job when it came to the big moment. We have a great DJ. DJ Pepe, he bought the lighting and made sure everything was perfect.
