My wedding day was so special and emotional and exactly what i wanted it to be. Some special moments that stood out for me was...
The morning with my bridesmaids, doing hair and makeup, drinking champagne(which made getting ready so relaxed and special) and just being spoiled.
Another moment that stood out was defenitely when my brother came to fetch me to walk down the aisle. (my dad passed away so my brother had the honour to walk me down the aisle). We both were very emotional.
Standing infront of the church, my heart was beating out of my chest while my bridesmaids walked down the aisle. I made a recording for my husband to be, that played in the chapel before I walked in. That already set an emotional mood (some guests told me he was crying).
The whole ceremony was so special. The paster gave an inspirational message and we had a communion service. And then the first kiss took place.
The photoshoot with my bridesmaids was fun and the photographers made us feel comfortable. The photoshoot with me and my husband were very special and we ended the photoshoot with a night shoot.
The speeches and first dance were also some of my favourite moments and my husband's speech were sooo special eventhough the men gave him a hard time.
Everything was perfect just as I imagined.
My husband kept the honeymoon as a big surprise. Only when we got to the airport he told me where we were going.
We went to ZANZIBAR, uroa bay for 10 days.
It was amaizing we went on a few excursions like snorkeling, deep sea fishing, and we also got the chance to swim with the Big turtles. We spent the rest of the time at the resort.. Drinking cocktails on the beach and spending time together.
I will go back anytime.
I am a detail girl, so my dress had alot of detail. I had my dress specially made, but only hired it to give it back (this was a cheaper option and I could have my dress exacly the way I wanted and to have a dress that I am never going to wear again is of no use).
My dress had a champagne colour underneath, with alot of of white lace covering it. The back of the dress was an open back. The lower part of my back was made of seethrough material with diamonds around the edge. (like I said.. I like detail)
My hair and make- up was done by EA academy. Antoinette de Beer did an amazing job. She also did my bridesmaids make - up, but the girls did their own hair (bonding session).
I am inlove with rosegold and pearls. Rosegold did not fit the colour of my dress but the white pearls fitted perfectly.
We got married at The Moon and Sixpence in Muldersdrift.
There are two seperate venues at The Moon and Sixpence. We got married in the Farthing Hall.
The chapel was beautifull with big windows on the sides and big wooden doors.
The outside gardens were green eventhough it was in the middle of the winter.
The reception was big enough for all our guests with wooden frames, and chandeliers hanging from the sky roofs. The tables were on the sides of the venue and the dancefloor in the middle.
When we went "venue hunting" i knew that this is were i am going te get married the moment we entered the venue.
I trained with a personal trainer at virgin active, Amanda Williams.
She also helped me with the perfect eating plan and was very strict.

The reception had a bog fireplace with wood packed to the roof. The tables was white with rosegold underplates. The centerpiece was a big round mirror with rosegold candle holders en a long vase with a big bunch of roses and white lilies aswell as greenery. Menu and winelist stands on tables were made by my husband. It had a round shape.. Rosegold.. And in the middle white and greenery in writing the menus and winelists. We also had white tiffany chairs for the final touch.
Our table were seperate. It had a long rectangular shape mirror on the end of the table with rosegold geometric shapes. Inside these geometric shapes were greenery and white roses with small candles. On each end of our table were rosegold candle stands with white candles for that romantic touch.
The wall behind the main table were draped in white with fairylights.
On the porch outside were big wooden tables. There were baskets with all types of wine for guests to enjoy.
For the final touch we had wooden pallets with love quotes.. Made by my husband and I. We also had 1m baloons (white and clear) with greenery string infront of chapel and reception.
Everything was exacly the way we wanted it.
The groom and groomsmen looked very handsome in their blue suits, white shirts, blue waistcoats, brown belt and shoes. For final touch they had champagne colour ties and UK socks.
My husband looked slightly different instead of blue waistcoat he had a champagne colour waistcoat.
The hired their suits @ Euro suits Revonia.
My bridesmaids looked beautifull in their light(coral) pink dresses.
The top part were lace that went around their neck with a pink ribbon.
Their backs were open and the bottom part were soft, loose and flowing.
Their hair were plated on the one side with loose curls. They looked stunning.

It was very special because he also baptised me as a baby.

We had two photographers. Franco and Liani (they are married).

They were able to capture all the special moments especially in the chapel.. My husbands facial expression and mine.
The videographer were everywhere all the time making sure he captured all the special moments.
Yes we recieved a wedding planner as a wedding gift.
His name is Lourens Dreyer from Fab affairs.
He was AMAIZING. Helped with every single fine detail.
I did not make use of transport on the day to the chapel because everything was close enough to walk.
The food were prepared by the chef of the venue.
Wedding cake were made by one of my work colegues relatives who had her own bakery.
The wedding planner did most of the work. As for the printing of menu and wine list we did it ourselves aswell as the stands that were on the table.
The reception was the most fun part. We had such an amaizing time with friends and family.
The first dance were perfect. We did not go for dance lessons as it was not neccesary.
