We did not have a romantic honeymoon at all, we had something better, we went on a Lazarides family holiday after the wedding. We had our wedding on the beautiful island of Cyprus, as this is where both our families live. The day after the wedding we all went to a area call Protaras, paradise on a little island. white beaches, electric blue waters, amazing food and great company. We could not have asked for a better way to spend the next few days after the wedding than with family.
As you can see from my photos my hair and makeup were very plan and simple, just the way i wanted it. My wedding dress, made by Ana-Paula Bridals, has amazing details on it and I wanted that to be the main focus.
We got married on the beautiful island of Cyprus. The church service was at St Nektarios in Limassol and the venue following was at the Posedonia Hotel in Limassol. A few of our guests did spend the night at the hotel and we all spend breakfast together (late) the next morning.
As we planned our wedding from South Africa we chose our venue from photos they has sent us. Those photos did not give the venue justice at all. We arrived a week before the wedding and scheduled meetings with our providers. We fell in love with the venue, the view of the ocean at sun set was the backdrop to our main table. Our colour scheme was white and silver with silver gift boxes and silver wrapped cakes for each of our guests. Our florist, 31-10 flowers, is the most loving, caring and professional team I have ever worked with. Their attention to detail was amazing. Our flower choice was the Cala Lilly, as the temperature in Cyprus is extreme these flowers lasted all night long. each table had large vases with Cala Lillies inside with water and floating candles, some little candles around the table for more light and all set up on round mirrors.
Our photographers and videographers were extremely professional. I felt like i was a model for a day. They captured ever special moment for us and had our wedding photos ready for us the next morning as we were leaving to come home in a few days after the wedding. Nikos Avramides is beyond a photographer he is a genius in his trade.
We did not have a wedding planner, we planned everything from South Africa by looking at websites and taking recommendations from our family who live there. The lady at the venue Donna Evangeliou helped co-ordinate our guests.
The food and cake were all done by the hotel. All night the food was a high topic. Amazing!
