The day I got married was one of the most amazing days of my life, I was surprised by my best friend from UK as well as my eldest cousin whom i idolise. Every moment leading up to my wedding felt like a dream. Both my bridesmaid were pregnant. I had 2 of my gorgeous nieces as my flower girls. We had our nearest and dearest at our wedding, from Family, Friends, family-friends and work colleagues. All who was there played a huge part in both of our lives.
The highlight of our wedding, was walking down the isle to my future husband, seeing the love in his eyes that he has for me and then looking back at all our loved ones and realising how loved we both really are.
The most memorable moment of our wedding was just before we were going to do the garter throwing, my son took the dance floor in some moves that we have never seen before, he had all our guests off their seats, taking photo's, videos and of course cheering for him, he was in his element and definitely stole the show.
We received a gift from my amazing ex boss and his beautiful family to go to Mauritius, we took this opportunity to use it as our honey moon.
We stayed at the most beautiful resort called Cannonier Beachcomber Resort. We got to do most activities that we would not have been able to afford here ie: Snorkling, paddle boating, canoeing, boat cruises and the best of all, swim with the dolphins. This was by far the most amazing holiday.
Because I've always wanted a Winter wedding and my winter lacey dress, this was the perfect time of year to have our wedding.
It took me 3 Bridal shops to find my dress, but I wasn't done there, I wanted my lacey sleeves and nothing was going to stop me from getting them. It took me many fittings to get the dress as perfect as i wanted it to be, but with the help of Faieza at Bridal & Co, Canal Walk, it was all i wanted and more.
My wonderful and talented friend, Megan Grant from Nyx, Canal Walk, was inspired by the music video Ashes by Celine Dion, plain and simple is what i was going for and that's exactly what she gave me.
My hair dresser was Louisa Marais, I wanted an up style, something plain but with a braid, no flowers or pearls were added.
The Jewellery that I wore was my sterling silver, blue stone in the middle with diamantes around.
My Lingerie was also plain and simple.
My wedding shoes were navy blue, with a heel slightly higher than a kitten heel.
We got married at Pampoenkraal in Durbanville, a beautiful rustic venue. Breathtakingly beautiful.
I did not have a bridal beauty regime, I am a plain Jane, the only treatments i went for was a massage at Life day spa and I had a mani and pedi at Sorbet, Canal Walk.
I am a very sentimental person, so all my decor was made by hand by my sister. I had no flowers on the tables, only on my gift table. The furniture was the venues, we had round tables with plastic white chairs that had a wooden like look. We had no stage or special lighting.
Our DJ was an old neighbour that used to live down the road from my parents, Clint Viviers.
The Groom, Groomsmen, Father of the Bride and Father of the Groom as well as the Ring bearer, their suits were rented from Euro suits at Bridal & co, Canal Walk. Their ties and bow ties were bought at Men's street in Tyger Valley. They all wore badges that explained their "role" for the evening made by Little Woodpecker.
Both my Bridesmaid wore navy blue infinity dresses made by Tanya, the previous owner of Daisy Island that is no longer at Canal Walk. The dresses had lace going down from the belly part of their dresses. They also wore navy blue pumps from Woolworths. They both wore matching diamanté hangng earrings with a blue stone in the middle.

Our Marriage officer was our Priest, Gustav from NG Kerk church in Bothasig.
A very special friend of mine, Michelle Jonas with her partner Nikki, captured our special moments as well as a short video of all the special parts ie: speeches etc.
She is so talented and I am blessed that she got to capture all the special moments on our special day.
I had a few helping hands that made my wedding extra special, this was my Mom, My sister, my cousin from USA as well as a very close friend of mine.
My mom hired a white hummer limo for the transport to the venue, I absolutely loved it. Limo Extreme.
The Venue prepared all the food for my guests, expect the kiddies table, the venue had run out and got all the kids Happy meals from Mc Donalds which I loved as this was the high light of the kids night.
My wedding cake was arranged by my friend, made by Sebena Cakes.
Myself and my sister (bridesmaid) designed and printer all the stationary.
We had the most beautiful reception, we did not take dance lessons. Clint Viviers did our lightening and sound.
