So many things come to mind.
Walking down the isle and seeing my soon to be husband waiting for me.
The friends and family present to see our happy day through.
Two sets of parents filled with joy.
The fun we had with our photographer after the ceremony.
Our friends gave the best speeches that we will never forget.
Our first dance that was both scary and exciting.
The amazing food that our parents helped pull together with the rest of the family.
The good time we had with all our friends.
Not yet, we are still planning on that one. :)
We wanted a country feel to our wedding.
I got my hair and makeup done by Laura&Co from amanzimtoti. Abeselutly loved it. For the makeup I wanted to stay with a natural look and for hair they did a messy side bun.
My dress was a lace Viola Chan sheath dress with a really pretty train. For shoes I went with tall country boots from Western Boots SA.
We got married at Sodwana Bay. Our guests booked in at Coral Divers and Mseni Beach lodge, most guests came through a few days before the wedding.
We had our ceremony and reception next to each other in the campsites. The ceremony site was hidden in the bush but as soon as you enetered the canopy it opened the space we created into a ceremony site.
We had an awesome team that helped us pull everything together. The arch was put up by my husband and team, I draped it with tule in earth tones and dusty pink and arranged the flowers the morning of the wedding with my bridesmaids. We used protea, dusty pink roses and white daisies with some greenery.
I hired clear Tiffany chairs and we put up hand made signs as space fillers around the site with pretty love quotes.
We hired a frame tent for the reception. Our tables were naked wooden tables with a light tule runner and a long flower arrangement as center piece, again we used proteas, dusty pink roses with champagne colored daisies and greenery. Wooden laser cut windmills were the table numbers.
The tent was draped in white with fairy lights and we had a hanging chandelier hanging from the middle.our dance floor was at the tent entrance and was also draped with fairylights.
Tanya Strauss Photography was my photographer. She has a lot of talent and the photo's were amazing! We had so much fun with her on the day of the wedding and next morning we did a quick trash the dress shoot on the beach before she had to leave. It was so cold but so much fun.
The food was prepared by friends and family, what an amazing job they did!
My cake was baked by Mseni beach lodge and also the Ma shop. My cake toppings were hand crafted by Vicky Martin from Victoria Bean and she did an amazing job and everything looked so real but was all edible!
