My wedding was definitely a dream come true, there were many mixed emotions , but what makes my wedding the most memorable day of my life , is that every single member of my family , worked together in ensuring that everything went on smoothly ... and perfectly ... highlights having my amazing family with me every step of the way , especially relatives , whom i haven't seen in over 28 yrs , my best friend was unable to attend my wedding , as she is currently battling cancer - having our other bestie , present a speech on her behalf was the most amazing moment . I loved every moment of my wedding , i loved seeing the smiles and happiness , and seeing all our family enjoy the day and the moments ...
we decided to postpone our honeymoon , we initially were planning to not have a wedding... my dad passed away a few yrs ago and its been very very emotional .. eventually we decided to give in , and have the wedding of our dreams and set up a home first ... we may decide to go somewhere eventually ....
I opted to have a traditional gujarati bridal look , my bridal outfit was specifically designed for me in India
i wanted a simple pulled back with loose curls , make up was done by an amazing artist Arvadhi , from Ashneya Hair and Make up

Our wedding Venue , was a beautiful self catering venue in Walkerville .. Corkwood Function Venue
the gardens were stunning - we decided to have a winter wedding , but the venue had amazing gardens , with blossoming flowers
once again i stuck to tradition , ayurvedic masks - neem masks , i have always had issues with my weight , so I tried to be healthy ( as much as i could) - but i didnt really believe in the idea of losing weight for my wedding - my thoughts were - that no matter what i look like - I am the bride .... its my wedding and regardless of my weight .. im beautiful
my dreams was to have an outdoor ceremony , our outdoor traditional gujarati ceremony , had beautiful fuchsia and orange drapes , with hints of gold - the gardens are surrounded by trees and flora ,so we didnt have to invest in much to make the outdoors beautiful - we also added on the most beautiful Ganesha statues
our indoor reception , had a combination of grey/gunmetal and yellow , with the addition of lemon and sunflowers ,
our wedding was very much DIY , we had our family and friends work hard together to make it perfect
Pretesh wore a silk suit , with deep red stones and additions , he worse a traditional indian suit , also purchased in India
