The most memorable moment of my day, was getting married to the love of my life !
Yes, we did go on honeymoon.
It was kept a secret from my husband, he took me to a farm, just outside the small town Van Wyks Dorp in the Karoo. In the middle of no where, no signal. Just me and him, a fire burning, and RSG in the background (As it was the only radio station we were able to listen to due to signal). It was amazing !
My wedding dress was an Ivory White dress, absolutely gorgeous, My shoes were cowboy boots. My make up was a very natural look. and my hair was an curly up style do.
My garter was also purchased from @Bride and Co, and for jewellery I only had small earrings.
St Anthoney in the Valley Chapel and the reception was at Bontevlei Venue, Stellenbosch.
I went to @La Creme Skin Care Clinic in Stellenbosch for my eyebrow waxing and tinting. One of the students @Isa Carstens Academy gave me eyelash extensions for free as part of an exam.
I had a trial for my hair and make up, my make up was done by a friend.
My wedding theme was "Karoo Farm" our colours were cream and mocha brown. My table cloths and chair covers were cream and our table runners were mocha brown. Our table center pieces was Windmills, with candles and pennygum leaves. For the flowers we only made use of leaves and "fynbos" at part of our theme. We had a stage set up for our artist, made out of pallets, hay and 2 big windmills on each side.
(This was all done by myself, my husband, my friend Zandre, Jacques, Carla and Amanda and my parents, 2 days before the wedding)
They were wearing dark Khaki Chinos, with "vellies", a white shirt, with a wooden bow tie. And the grooms jacket we received from @Euro Suit, Canal Walk
My bridesmaids wore a Mocha Infinity Dress, each bridesmaid had to provide their own dress.
Our marriage officer, drove all the way from Mossel Bay to Stellenbosch.
Rev. Johan Engelbrecht from the NG Church in Hartenbos
Betsi Ann van der Vyver was our photographer from @My Silent Tale Photography.
We did not make use of a photobooth.
Yes, Elana from @Bontevlei Venue, Stellenbosch agreed to coordinate the evening
I did not see the need to spend too much on wedding transport, as I was getting married in a chapel. My husbands nephew drove me and my bridesmaids to the chapel with his Toyota Fortuner.
The food was prepared by the Venue's chef Elana. @Bontevlei Venue, Stellenbosch. The wedding cake was a 3 layered biltong and droee wors cake, made by husbands niece, Nadia Fourie.
My best friend Zandré designed all my invitations and save the dates. All invitations and save the dates were sent electronically.
I didn't need to take dance lessons. Me and my husband are dancing lovers!
The venue coordinator did my lighting, and the sound was done by our live artist (Karin Kay)
