Our wedding day was absolutely perfect! It was everything we dreamed of, even more! It was the most romantic day, full of spectacular flowers. Just the way we wanted it.
One of the most memorable moments was seeing my husband in the chapel waiting for me while my father and I walked down the aisle. I will never forget the look on his face. That, together with the pastor’s message was very special.
Seeing our guests enjoying the day was such a treat. The food was great and the atmosphere was full of love and festivities. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.
We went to beautiful Mauritius for our honeymoon. We left the day after the wedding. We enjoyed snorkeling every day and swimming with the dolphins. We even went paragliding! Definitely a holiday we will never forget.
I went for a romantic, elegant look. I wanted to feel comfortable in my dress. I wore an ivory dress with the most beautiful lace. It was designed by Robyn Roberts Bridal. It had long sleeves, covered with lace, and a boat neck with an illusion back with buttons.
My hair and make-up was done by Minke du Plessis. Due to the detail on my dress, I went for an up-style and finished it off with teardrop earings.
We got married at the beautiful Bosjes in the Breede River Valley. We immediately fell in love with the venue, especially the chapel. Both ceremony and reception took place at this stunning venue.
My family stayed in the beautiful guesthouse at Bosjes. We had lovely food prepared for us and staying there was such a treat. The rest of the guests stayed nearby in the Breede River Valley.
I’m terrible with beauty regime’s. I went for a few facials leading up to the wedding, but that was about it.
My husband and I went for a romantic, elegant look, with lots of flowers. All kinds of flowers, including peonies and tulips. Flowers were done by Blomstories. The tables had candles on it with bulbs and flowers hanging from the roof. There were bulbs hanging above the dance floor. It created a festive atmosphere.
The furniture, including the bulbs, were from Goeters. I wanted to create a lounge feeling, with carpets etc.
The wooden crossback chairs were from Wilgenhof Estate.
The transparent marquee tent was from MRent.
The whole set-up, with the magestic mountains as background, was absolutely beautiful. Everything came together perfectly.
It was indeed a night to remember.

My husband wore a suit from ZED Menswear. The groomsmen wore suits from suit hire. We gave them each a bow tie from My Bro Tie. Our ring bearer and my sisters’s baby boy both had the same bow ties.
My bridesmaids were my sister and sister-in-law. I was so fortunate for having them. They wore dresses that were made by a local designer, Mercia du Toit. It was a dark green colour with a high neck and lower back. Our flower girl wore a beautiful tule dress, also designed by Mercia du Toit. She had the most beautiful flower crown!

Our photographer was Marli Koen. We absolutely love her work! She captured all our special moments. She also took our engagement photos.
Videographer was Kovacevic Bosch. Absolutely amazing wedding video.
We had a ‘fotohoekie’ with a retro camera. It was done by Booth Nation. Our guests had so much fun taking photo’s during canapés.
Our wedding planner was MT Ferreira from IDO4U.
We didn’t make use of any transportation as we had the ceremony and reception at the venue.
Bosjes Kitchen did all the catering. Chef Kim did an amazing job in preparing the food. It was delicious.
Our wedding cake was done by Birdcage in Stellenbosch. It was a three layer cake with the most beautiful flowers and figs around it.
Our stationery was designed by Fleur Design Studio. She designed the most beautiful Save the date, the invitations as well as all of the on-the-day stationery.
I wanted colour, flowers and detail and Fleur Design Studio exceeded my expectations with all her designs.
We didn’t take any dance lessons. Both of us enjoy dancing as we danced together at previous events.
We danced the night away!
