The whole day was magical and surreal. Chris's smile, when I came down the aisle, confirmed to me that this was where I was meant to be and all the nerves washed away
Yes, we toured Japan. Not your conventional honeymoon but neither of us are the lie on the beach and down cocktails type. We both have a love for the new and Japan had been on our bucket list for as long as we can remember.
I tried to keep things simple. I really didnt want to go too nuts with the dress etc. But then I saw THE DRESS, and all those ideas went out the window.
Everything else was kept to a minimal so as not to distract from my dress.
As for the wedding decor, we wanted rustic. The venue is in such a beautiful location that to over decorate would have taken the natural beauty away from it.

Kuthaba Bush Lodge in Nylstroom is the perfect setting for a wedding. Not only do they accomodate up to 80 people, but you are able to book the whole venue for the full wedding weekend. This was exactly what we wanted and is a perfect way for the guests to meet and get to know each other before the wedding.
Kuthaba has two options for the ceremony. The cliff and the giant fig tree. As the weather was perfect we chose the tree. It was the most magical setting!!
The ceremony is held, under the star, in the lapa, surrounding a fire pit so as not to feel the chill.
Kuthaba also provides the catering and oh my, can they cook. The food was amazing!!!

I wanted to keep things minimal so as not to take anything away from the natural beauty of the venue. We kept things neutral with pale pinks, ivory and green. Kuthaba provides the basics and the The Love Knott completed my look with wood, glass and the most beautiful flowers. It was everything we wanted and more.
The most fun was had. We had taken dance lessons before, with Simple Social Dance, but due to some nerves and champagne, some improvising took place. Thankfully no one noticed and to be honest, I think we pulled it off pretty well.
Once that dance floor opened the party that took place was awesome. We had the best time!!!
