Our special day went so fast! I cannot choose one highlight or memorable moment! I would say the whole day.
We stayed at Lythwood lodge for a few days with our furbabies (two sausage dogs)
I wanted the romantic look. Hair and makeup was done by Nixon. My dress was just perfect which was bought by Meliza Mary.
We got married on the family dairy farm. The guest who didn’t stay in the district stayed in guesthouses in Greytown.
My mom , sister and myself stayed at Indigo Fields in the midlands a few days before the big day. They ensured that I look fabulous for the wedding. Spa treatments, jacuzzi and facials. It was just the most perfect way leading up to our wedding day.
The theme was an elegant garden wedding. Most of the flowers were grown in the garden but we got roses from Tarr Roses. The furniture etc we hired from Settings in Hillcrest.
All the groomsmen were told to wear a suit and they had to sort themselves out.
My sister was my matron of honor. We designed her dress and choose a light mint color fabric. It was designed and made by Meliza Mary.

Anja Meyer was our photographer. She was amazing and was able to capture such special moments of our day. I don’t think she knew what she was in for as the wedding on the farm was a bit different to the normal weddings.
Everyone helped, we didn’t have a so called wedding planner
A lady in Greytown prepared the food for our harvest table. I was told that it was beyond delicious ( I didn’t get the time to eat a thing). My sister in-law made our fabulous lemon curd cake.
The reception was started with food being served, let’s be honest all people go to a wedding starving. Once everybody had food and something to drink the speeches started (only 3 people). Thereafter, everyone was able to eat, drink and celebrate our special day with us.
