My husband and I headed off to Thailand which was my husbands first ever overseas trip.We stayed in the most beautiful resort that had amazing pools with a bar in the middle so a few cocktails were consumed and a board game.We shopped ,ate(alot),saw some shows,animals,meet new people (that we stay in contact with)I got a thai tattoo for our honeymoon and love for Thailand.Besides the fact that my husband landed up in hospital from food poisoning and all we ate for the last two days was Macdonalds it was a dream come true for a young married couple.
We had our reception at Barkor mannor.In their gorgeous hall.They have a beautiful self catering cottage that we hired out for myself,my mom and my girls to stay the night before and then to get ready the next morning.Then for my husband and I to stay in the honeymoon sweet.You can see the Barkers love what they do because every detail from their accommodation,decor,hospitality is beyond outstanding.They truly go the extra mile.
We went for the theme peacocks.Our main colour was royal blue from the peacock.We got married by my God father David Gould who is a life long family friend.He married us in the kloof Methodist church.We had a man Campbell sing me beautifully down the isle. I had a bouquet with flowing peacock feathers.The flower girls had little flower crowns with peacock feathers and threw peacock feathers down the isle.We had baby breath s flowers on the isles.In our hall we had white Rose's and baby breath flowers (also because I'm allergic to pollen) .We then had fun peacock names fot each table.We had a a round mirror in the centre with a bowl with a gorgeous floating flower.Then around it little lights and ofcourse peacock feathers.On the ladies chairs we had a elegant bow with a beautiful rose and peacock feather.The table cloth was a gorgeous shimmery blue.We also had lots of candles.The main long table had a a more teal blue with a long rose bouquet with peacock feathers.As our thank you gift we got bottle of wine with a thank you message and a photo of us.Our cake was one little cake with two peacocks and it flowed into a cupcake tail.We had fairy lights,little peacock statues,a photobooth,beautiful open stage with space for our band and dj dave.We had a beautiful sign made from our ring board that we used at our engagment party for cupcakes.Our wedding planners Desire and Nicole made it beautiful and our our love story on it.My mind is running wild.I know I'm forgetting things because there was so much beautiful elements.It was a true fairy tale wedding.
I really was so please with cheryl from back scratches in westville work on my dream bridesmaids dresses.They were a beautiful royal blue flared dresses with the most amazing lace tops and sheer back with beautiful buttons.I tried ordering a dress online before I went to cheryl and the dress was a disaster and came looking completely different. Cheryl then saw my vision and brought it to life.I truly am inlove with my bridesmaid dresses.They had a beautiful updo finished off with a beautiful peacock clip and the most gorgeous make up done by Angela and her assistant from make up your mind.We brought their beautiful silver sandals from Charles and keith in pavillion and they can wear them after the wedding too.I didnt want the usual bouquets of flowers that they couldnt keep as a special memory so we brought gorgeous peacock fans.It really all came together.I had such a special group of bridesmaids ,who looked incredible.
