We got engaged at the top of the Empire State Building in New York last November, our friends sang us into the reception with Alicia Keys Empire State of Mind, it brought back such amazing memories! Every single moment was special in its own way! It was everything and more!
We went to Fifty Seven Waterberg, a big five private game reserve which forms part of the greater Welgevonden reserve in Limpopo
I kept my look classic and simple, my dress was lace with long sleeves, I wore blue stud earrings gifted to me by my best friend and bought my shoes online. My photographer did my make up and I have to thank my dress designer Malinda McIntyre, she made the perfect dress, I felt like a princess!
We got married at the Wanderers Club in Johannesburg - many of our guests opted to stay over at the Protea Hotel across from the venue for the night of the wedding.
I love proteas and they featured prominently in our wedding. I had a king protea in my bouquet and in our centre pieces. The colours were neutral and soft pinks. Our DJ did our lighting, in the form of soft pink uplights at the reception.
The groom and groomsmen rented their suits from Eurosuit, they wore classic black and white
My best friend was my maid of honour, she wore a beautiful pink infinity dress which we sourced online

The truly remarkable Rene Gomes and Ronlyn Diamond from Memory Box Photography captured our special day. They are friends of mine and deliver the best quality work - they make it their priority to ensure that every special detail is captured and treasured. I have worked with them before and just love their work!
Candice Oberholzer @ Silvasale Events is the co-ordinator/planner at the Wanderers Club in Johannesburg. She was an absolute perfectionist and took care of every detail.
I stayed at the Protea Hotel Wanderers the evening before and walked over to the venue the next day.
Our wedding dinner was catered by Silvasale @ the Wanderers and Cristina from the Cakery in Edenvale made our cake...it was absolutely delicious!
Because we are enviromentally conscious, we opted for electronic invitations. We used Nicola at Invitation Lab. She also designed our seating chart and table names.
Our party was relaxed and loads of fun. It really symbolised who we are as a couple. Corinne from World of Dance in Sunninghill gave us dance lessons (she turned me into an amazing dancer, even though I started as a novice!) Our DJ was Andrew from Cream Cheese DJ's and he was on point with music selection and knew exactly how to keep the dance floor full!
