I loved planning my wedding, down to every detail! My highlights include seeing my (now) husband at the end of the aisle, as well as dancing the father daughter dance with my dad on a beautiful dance floor.
The weather was perfect and was between two very windy, rainy days in Cape Town. It felt like the sun shone just for us that day.

I went for a very classic look, but aimed to keep my favorite color, pink, lightly scattered throughout the day - down to my shoes, which I bought from Aldo! I used the Little Lash Lounge (Durbanville) for both my hair and makeup and used a Bridal Boutique (Fiona Mauchan) for my dress. Bras 'n Things helped me out with all my lingerie, and my accessories were from a variety of places, including Lovisa.

One and Only Cape Town - no one stayed the night at the hotel, but almost all the guests stayed in Cape Town overnight.
I had a massage and exfoliation at the One and Only spa the day before the wedding. Before that, I ate healthily and exercised as I usually do. I was extra mindful of my skin though, and was very careful about what I put on it and how much sugar I consumed.
Very simple and elegant - we were lucky because the One and Only is so beautiful already! I used the Flower Warehouse for all my flowers, vases and centre pieces. One and Only provided the chairs and ties to go with them, as well as the ballroom tables and chairs.
The groomsmen wore simple grey suits with white rose lapels, and skinny black ties. The groom wore a navy suit with a light pink rose lapel, a pastel tie and black shoes. Suits bought from David Jones.
My bridesmaids wore custom dresses from Bridal Aisle. They were light pink with a sequin bodice and a multi-way strap that each wore in their own way. The girls had a say and we tried a number of styles until we decided that the one just was a winner!
A man who was my Anglican reverend throughout school, and who confirmed me as well. He made the trip especially for our wedding and made the day so special.

The One and Only provided their onsite Weddings coordinator - Madre Vermaak - to ensure that all ran according to plan on the day.
No transport! I stayed at the venue the night before my big day.
One and Only delivered on the menu, and my aunt (who used to run a catering company) made the cake.
My sister & the maiden of honor, with the help of all my bridesmaids. I was fortunate enough to have has a team of skilled ladies!
We let Youtube teach us the basics and then practiced our own version in our living room! It was a wonderful success - and one that encouraged us to start taking lessons because we had so much fun. We had a dance floor and the DJing and lighting was done by an external service provider.
