My father walked me down the isle and gave the service. He is a minister. Walking down the isle to my husband to be was the ultimate highlight for me. I was so nervous but as soon as I saw the look on his face I melted. The weather was perfect, stunning scenery, everyone was smiling and I was looking at the man I'm going to spend the rest of my life with. Walking in to the reception as husband and wife was another highlight. Bruno Mars, Uptown Funk played and we danced in. The room was electric and I could feel everyone's joy. It was incredible. Then the first dance and my husband's speech was amazing. He spoke from the heart and I dont think there was a dry eye in the room.
We travelled up the Garden Route and visited Wilderness, Sedgefield, Knysna, Plett, Herolds Bay and George. It was stunning and many happy memories were created.
My look and theme was bohemian. I had a headpiece handmade by the lovely Hayley Goodrich. I opted for earrings with a similar look and a bling belt that was also made by her. Made of Swaroski Crystal's and beads. My headpiece was a statement piece and made my look complete. I thought my dress was very fairy like, I wanted it to look very soft and feminine and that's why lace was used.
I used coconut butter on my hair as a mask and also did frequent hair masks and use coconut spray on my hair before I let it dry by itself. I had my teeth cleaned the week of the wedding. I did a face mask regularly. Had my lashes and nails done 2 weeks before and then again in the week of my wedding. My mom did my spray tan at home. I went for ozone therapy 2 weeks before and had a full body massage. I started the Proslim weight management plan 2 months before and lost 13kgs. I walked my dogs regularly.
We had been scammed out of our wedding so once that money was stolen we had to make do with alot less than planned. However we didnt want an over the top wedding. We are both very down to earth and wanted everyone to feel relaxed and have fun. We opted for a bohemian theme with butterflies as a main feature. We had 1000 butterflies scattered all over the trees and on furniture. A main feature too was the fire boma we hired. Everyone loved it and said it created a stunning and warm atmosphere. We had bright flowers which made it all look very fun and cheerful. We also had lots of fairy lights to add to the theme and the overall aim was for a forest bohemian wedding which it was.
