The whole day was a highlight, it really was the most chilled day celebrating with all our friends and family. It was so lovely to see both families come together and mix together in a very happy and joyful way. There was lots of dancing and drinking and every part of the day was special. Everything went off without a hitch and really wouldn't change a thing about it.
Yes we did :) We were so lucky, we got to go on two!!
We went to the most beautiful bush lodge called Clifftop Lodge which is situated in the Welgevonden Game Reserve. We went the day after our wedding for 3 magical nights and stayed in the Honeymoon suite. The food, the service, the staff and the wildlife was top notch. I highly recommend it and we will definitely be back!
We then went to Sri Lanka for two weeks a month after our wedding and it was the BEST honeymoon and adventure any girl could want. I love to travel, especially to places that are unconventional so my husband really outdid himself!
We got married at Red Ivory which is situated in Hartbeespoort. It is honestly the best venue in every way. I highly recommend it.
Our immediate family stayed on the property at Red Ivory and the rest of our guests stayed about 1.5km down the road at a place called Peaconwood Manor which was fabulous and they all loved and enjoyed their stay.
Lots of yoga as its one of my passions!!
It was a white, green and soft pink palette which brought an earthy touch to this day. We had naked hanging bulbs hanging from the ceiling. There were lots of candles in every size throughout the venue and every table was slightly different, filled with the most beautiful flowers.
All done by Splendid Weddings.
It was all very elegant and beautiful.
The groom and groomsman wore Navy Blue suites, brown shoes and belts, white shirts and blue, white ties and happy socks.
The grooms suite was made by Frank Bespoke in Parkhurst. The groom got his shoes from Prieview.
My bridesmaids and Maid of Honors wore light Grey chiffon long skirts and light grey tops which were made by Sewcouture. I got the inspiration from Pinterest. Slightly on the bohemian side.
Our marriage officer was Brent Charmers who is part of the Rosebank Catholic Church. He is our family deacon and married my brother and his wife a few years back and has done all our other important ceremonies. He is so fantastic!
Eve Poplett from Splendid Weddings was my wedding planner and it was the best choice we ever made.
Since all our guests stayed over, we only had a shuttle service to and from the accommodation at Peaconwood. My bridesmaids were transported by a Range Rover within the venue owned by Red Ivory and I was transported to the ceremony within the venue in a Bentley which was heavenly.
We had incredible Harvest Table during cocktail hour (and what was left over was moved into the venue later that night for guests to feast on. The harvest table was catered by Vicki Clarke who has Fresh Creative Catering.
The food for the reception was done by our venue, Red Ivory which was out of this world.
Our wedding cake was done by a dear friend of the family Franco Lambiase who has 'The Cake Man'
My brother Marco Cannata who is the owner of Downtown Creative Agency and one of his employees Natasha Osborne deigned my stationary.
Remata printed my stationary.
We had a live jazz band at our cocktail hour.
Our reception was something out of a fairytale - we had light bulbs hanging from the ceiling, the most exquisite flowers and lots of candles all done by Splendid Weddings. Our lighting was done by a supplier of Splendid Weddings.
It was very festive as I am Italian and Ciaran is Irish with a bit of Jewish in him so we had all the traditions.
We didn't have dance lessons and we practiced about 3 times however it was the most perfect first dance and worked out perfectly.
We had a DJ for our reception who also did our ceremony and her name is Melanie Motto-Ros who goes by the name Ultra Mel and she was PERFECT!
