With tears on your cheeks, I smile on your face, you whom I now call my husband, have created the most beautiful and memorable moment on our special day. Seeing your face while walking down the aisle is the most precious and cherished moment for me and I will save it in my heart forever and always.
My husband and I are adventures people and we enjoy the outdoors and different sceneries. So we decided to go to Thailand for our honeymoon. Our selection of honeymoon destinations was based on nature and different activities and Thailand and its' natural beauty is the perfect destination for that. Exploring the culture, the food, the drinks, going for long walks and boat rides to different islands are all memories I will never forget.
Being a bride is something most young girls always dream of and as a young girl I always dreamed of being a fairytale bride. On the 7th of April I got to be the bride I always dreamed of. A soft fairy- like natural look was my selection for the day. Wearing a off- white, semi lace, A-line wedding gown fitted by the waist, flowing to the floor, with a soft curl hairstyle and a floral (million stars) crown, nude tone wedge, and to round of my fairytale look, I wore rose gold jewellery to match my engagement ring.
Our special day was at the beautiful Rusticana Hospitality Estate. With the rustic trees and the emerald green grass, I fell inlove with the sceneries of this absolutely stunning venue. Some of our guests' stayed at Rusticanas' elegant self-catering chalets situated near the pool in the garden.
My bridal beauty regime for this special day was, following a healthy diet to keep my energies up and to have a clear and healthy skin. To stay in shape, I did enough cardio and a toning program to look at my best for our wedding day.
For decor, I focused on simple but elegant, with a white background, a touch of pink and wood. Bringing my colours out through my flower selection and small elements on the tables such as blush pink serviettes, wooden toned underplates and small hearts. My decor was rented from To-Nett's and my flowers was done by their talented florists.

For the handsome groom, he wore a navy suit, with a white collared shirt, navy tie, brown leather belt and brown leather shoes.
The groomsmen wore a navy chino, white collared shirt, navy bow tie, brown suspenders and brown leather shoes.
All the men wore a wooden pin sourced from a local art shop.
For the bridesmaids I wanted to create the same fairytale feel. They wore nude pink boatneck, sleeveless, high-low dresses, fitted by the middle and semi lace.
The dresses worn by the bridesmaids were made by myself.

For our special day we were fortunate enough to have the very talented and energetic Adele Joubert as our photographer. With years of experience and tons of ideas, Adele was able to capture every single precious moment and create it into something even more special and memorable.
To create even more memories to show in the future, we had a photo booth at our reception.
Rusticana did the catering for our wedding. Our cake was made by Karin van Dyk, she is the mother of one of our closest friends.
I designed my stationary myself and To-Nett's printed it for me.
For our reception we had a DJ who did our sound and lighting. The DJ was on-point, he played a good combination of old classic and 21st century music, to keep everyone moving and on the dance floor.
My husband and I did have a few dance lessons from a close friend, just to learn a few new moves. For our first dance we did the Foxtrot (box step), dancing on "you and me" by Lifehouse.
